When the "gum" is ingested, the user will suffer from one of several side effects. The effects can be seen when examining the subjects mental health. Subjects diagnosed with depression or anxiety lose signs of the illnesses and after 4-5 hours the subject’s mental health is at peak performance. While being beneficial to subjects will poor mental well being, healthy subjects are to avoid consuming the "gum". As those who are deemed healthy will suffer negative effects. After chewing the gum, the subject will suffer from effects

During the first hour, the user will begin to sweat heavily, become paranoid and suffer from anxiety. After 2 hours, the subject will become increasingly depressed to the point that they refuse to move from where they sit. 3 hours in the subject suffers from noticeable schizophrenic tendencies. At this time they must be locked in a cell before the fourth hour has passed. 4 hours after ingestion, the subject will attempt self termination. Subjects must be restrained as they will claw at their own skin until they bleed.

Note: The subject must be restrained before they cause damage to themselves, as well no tests shall be approved to examine the lengths of the self damage due to the Ethics Committee deeming the test as “unnecessary cruelty”

If the subject consumes another piece of the "gum", the effects will be reversed
