Special Containment Procedures:

Description: SCP-8002 appears to be a subspecies of Fuligo septica (slime mold). SCP-8002 usually resides in warm, humid areas and is visually identical to its parent species.

SCP-8002's anomalous properties occur when a living mammal makes direct physical contact with SCP-8002, hereafter referred to as the subject. The subject will develop symptoms following contact with SCP-8002. These symptoms develop through multiple stages:

Stage One (10-30 minutes after infection): Mild rashes will begin to develop on the area that made contact with SCP-8002. Headaches will become more frequent, and the subject may report mild abdominal pain.

Stage Two (~2 hours after infection): Stage 2 is characterized by the rashes that appeared earlier on the subject beginning to tinge a light yellow. Advanced motor functions from the arms are impaired, and headaches turn to migraines as vomiting becomes frequent.

Stage Three (~5 hours after infection): Subject's upper body is almost entirely tinged yellow, and the arms begin to meld with the sides of the lower abdomen. This process is often described by the subject as extremely painful, with the subject usually writhing on the floor. Subject also starts to lose higher-level cognitive functionality; this is followed by an increasingly hostile behavioral shift.

Stage Four (~12 hours after infection): The upper body of the subject is now entirely covered in SCP-8002, and
