Special Containment Procedures: While not undergoing testing, SCP-XXXX-1 is to be kept in a standard lockbox. Site personnel are not allowed to sleep near SCP-XXXX-1 unless testing its properties. SCP-XXXX-1 can otherwise be handled safely and presents no unusual properties.

Description: SCP-XXXX-1 is a small collection of well preserved viking weapons and armor. The collection includes a spearhead, a shortsword, a circular shield, and an iron helmet. When a human subject falls asleep with any item making up SCP-XXXX-1 within 2 meters of them they will experience an extremely vivid and lucid dream. Upon waking from the dream the subject will often remember the dream as if it were reality.

The dream that the human subject experiences always follows a similar format. Subjects who have experienced the effects of SCP-XXXX-1 describe waking up inside the dream on a cliff overlooking an ocean. Behind them is a forest with foliage thick enough that it makes it impossible to enter the forest. The weather, over the course of 2-5 minutes, shifts from overcast to heavy rain and a thunderstorm. Subjects have reported that despite the strong winds they find it impossible to fall off the cliff.
