Description: SCP-5314, publicly known as the ██████ River, is a ███-mile-long (███ km) river in the northeast USA. The valley surrounding the river, known as the ██████ Valley, is home to many supernatural sightings.

While SCP-5314 has not shown signs of being harmful, it does have an affect on those who pass away while within a distance of around ███ feet (███ meters) from it. Upon a human's death, SCP-5314 creates an anomalous entity believed to be the spirit of the deceased. The spirit, now to be referred to as SCP-5314-1, will take on the shape of its former body in prime condition, though all white and transparent. In most cases, SCP-5314-1 will take anywhere from 5 minutes to an hour to realize what has happened, and will usually then show signs of sadness. The anomalies have been witnessed crying, but they do not shed tears.

Instances of SCP-5314-1 have only shown violence when approached in a threatening manor such as being sprinted at or having a weapon pointed at it. When threatened, SCP-5314-1 enter a rage state. The anomalies become hostile, turn dark gray, and appear to lose their ability to pass through matter. SCP-5314-1 have shown that they possess seemingly unstoppable strength when this rage state is triggered. They have also shown the ability to use projectile weapons, including machine guns, muskets, and bows, all with the same white, transparent appearance to themselves, with incredible accuracy. They have also been seen using various ships that have the same anomalous appearance. All communication attempts with the anomalies have failed. SCP-5314-1 possess the ability to pass through any form of matter, but they will avoid coming into contact with SCP-5314 for an unknown reason.

When in containment, SCP-5314-1 do not move after they fail attempting to pass through their chamber walls. Upon being photographed or video recorded, instances of SCP-5314-1 will disappear and it is unknown if they ever reappear.

It is unknown when SCP-5314 became active, but it was around the time when Native Americans, specifically the region's namesake ██████ Indians, inhabited the area when stories of the anomalies began to arise.
