Item #: SCP-XXXX
Object Class: Euclid
Special Containment Procedures: Item SCP-XXXX should be placed in a container (material irrelevant), of at least 1ft x 1ft x 1ft. Weight Sensors should be installed on the inside of said container to detect if SCP-XXXX has changed location. Personnel of security clearance level 3 or higher are allowed to interact with SCP-XXXX, though advised not to do so unless instructed.
Description: Item SCP-XXXX has no physical appearance to the naked eye. Several tests have been done to see if their is any way to see the object. Infrared, ultraviolet, and all other tests failed and the appearance of the object is still unknown. It is a spherical object with a smooth, glass-like texture. It is 8 inches in diameter and exactly 1 pound in weight. The item was discovered when foundation employee ████ ████ had it sent to them through mail to one of his close relatives. The sender was never identified. When a subject picks up SCP-XXXX, the subject hears a faint noise of what is described as a person whistling. The tune of the whistling is supposedly random and portrays no actual song. The whistling noise is only heard by the holder, seemingly in their mind. Subjects describe the noise as giving them a feeling of dread. Subjects report that the longer the item is held, the louder the whistling gets.
Additional Notes: Researchers have performed brain scans on subjects whilst they were holding SCP-XXXX and no abnormal brain activity was shown. The longest a subject has held the item is approximately 4 minutes. The sound that the item generates can cause damage to the subject's body.
Testing has continued.
Document SCP-XXXXa (regarding experiment XXXX-e01): May 23, ████. Item SCP-XXXX had been discovered just 3 days prior. It had been decided that research must be done to properly conclude how they should contain the item. Researcher █████ assigned a Class D subject to perform an experiment. The researcher had the Class D sit down with SCP-XXXX in his hands while he documented the results and performed the proper brain scans. The rest is documented here:
Other XXXX-e01 Documents
Researcher █████'s documentation was deemed unimportant due to it's information already being displayed in log.
D-73███'s brain scans were lost due to a file corruption issue on a computer. The brain scans did however, portray completely normal activity of someone who is fearing for their life.
