Special Containment Procedures: As of now, SCP-XXXX-A and B are uncontainable, and any attempts to contain it will result in failure. Constant monitoring of the affected state has taken place. Any collected samples of SCP-XXXX-A are to to be incinerated and only looked upon from the back are not to be seen by foundation members and is to be placed in a standard sample bag to be incinerated (see Addendum XXXX-1), and instances of SCP-XXXX-B are to be observed, as there are no known means of damaging, communicating or affecting them. Any witnesses to the event should immediately be given amnestics. If they disappear, a cover story should be made up and.
Description: SCP-XXXX-A is a sheet of paper with an advertisement for a job at the Yum Yum Children’s Home, samples collected range from 30cm X 30cm to 75cm X 75cm. Samples of the paper will appear in any household that is in ████, Texas. SCP-XXXX-A seems to only appear in households that have children with their parents. If the advertisement is looked upon by a human, they will appear to faint for approximately 14 hours. At approximately 12 hours after exposure, their body will start to shake. Approximately 14 hours after original exposure to SCP-XXXX-A, they will either recover or disappear.
This affect does not appear to work on anyone below the age of 18.
The location they are taken to is currently unknown, as any attempts to attach any sort of cameras (or any device) to the affected individuals has failed. Additionally, the affected subject will not recall the event.
If they do recover, those with children will experience an urge to (through various means) get rid of their children. Shortly after their recovery, they will attempt this by using methods like: trying to put their children up for adoption, abandoning them on the streets and attempting to give them away by leaving them on other houses doorsteps. If they aren’t successful, they will begin to use less normal methods to get rid of them. This includes things like: selling their children, convincing the child/children to stay overnight in places like schools, parks and daycare centers and hiring people to kill their children.
If again these methods aren’t successful, the subject will start to hallucinate, become extremely violent towards their children and will become prone to self harm. By this point, they will: Try to murder their children, convince them to hang themselves and [REDACTED] their own children. If they do not succeed, they will kill themselves through variating methods.
Those without children will recover with no memory of the event, and will be immune to the effects of SCP-XXXX-A’s effects from that point on.
SCP-XXXX-B is a humanoid childlike figure, and will always be dressed in rags that can only be seen from or through the following items: A standard spyglass, infrared cameras, water and human saliva. Additionally, the individual affected by SCP-XXXX-A can also be seen talking to SCP-XXXX-B through these items. They appear throughout the 14 hour period. They are capable of basic speech and can only be heard by anyone viewing them through the previously listed items and the individual affected by SCP-XXXX-A. Additionally, SCP-XXXX-B does not seem to be able to see or hear anyone else except for the affected individual.
SCP-XXXX-B will proceed to ask the affected individual questions. The questions always follow a pattern: Basic information (Name, age etc.), personality, thoughts about less fortunate children, thoughts about dying (Specifically dying alone) and finally about how the questioning has been, before SCP-XXXX-B disintegrates. This will take up around 13 hours and 30 minutes of the time. It is currently believed that whether or not the affected individual disappears is decided by their answers to SCP-XXXX-B’s questions. SCP-XXXX-B cannot be interacted with or harmed at this moment in time.
Addendum XXXX-1: SCP-XXXX-A effects have anomalously become double sided. As a result of this, ██ MTF Members were affected by SCP-XXXX-A effects and only ██ recovered. The other █ all had children, and were terminated after succumbing to the SCP’s effects on those with children. The containment procedures have been updated appropriately.
Addendum XXXX-2: Research into ‘Yum Yum’s Children Home’ has yielded no significant results. Further research approval pending.
