Item #: scp-XXXX

Object Class: Safe Euclid

Special containment procedures: scp-XXXX must remain dormant 16 kilometers beneath site ██, where it was found on ██/██/████. The "cell" mainly being a natural cave formation is circular, and roughly a kilometer in diameter, the cell is equipped with a single surveillance camera that monitors any change in scp-XXXX's cell. other than the "Harbinger" incident (see addendum 01), there has been no reported movement of scp-XXXX or any other unusual behavior of any kind. scp-XXXX's cell must remain dark, and quiet, fluctuations in temperature have yielded no negative effects. On: ██/██/████, class C personnel were dispensed into scp-XXXX's cell to carefully remove low hanging stalactites, after 05 council members expressed fear of the stalactites falling and waking scp-XXXX. Other than that, attempts to move scp-XXXX have been deemed unnecessary, as it sleeps soundly, far beneath the earth's crust. Any personnel who enter scp-XXXX's cell, must exercise care not to wake scp-XXXX with any visual, or audible queues. under no circumstances, are personnel to touch, and or, make any physical contact with scp-XXXX. as such, it is best that scp-XXXX is just left alone completely, as it poses no threat when asleep.

Description: Little is known of scp-XXXX, safe that it is in a perpetual state of sleep, and judging by the moss that has grown over scp-XXXX it has been asleep for a long time. How it achieves this state of sleep is unknown, but it doesn't seem to want to wake up. Scp-XXXX, is a quadruped spanning 21 M in length, with a width of 5 M shoulder to shoulder. Scp-XXXX resembles a member of the Canidae family, though gender is unknown, as it looks almost, other-worldly. It has four slender limbs that end on a point, and Its pelt is an unnatural white that is most prominent in it's mane, while its appendages and lower half are mostly devoid of hair, revealing it's grey flesh. On the one and only documented case of scp-XXXX awakening, on site witnesses reported scp-XXXX having two white flowing tendrils for ears, a set of pitch black eyes, and many sets of teeth, not dissimilar to a shark's. scp-XXXX is quite thin for its size, and the fur around its neck makes it look bigger than it actually is. this suggests a common biological form of intimidation, though it is unknown why scp-XXXX would need this as it spends all it's time hibernating. It is impossible to tell scp-XXXX's origin, as researchers are positive that scp-XXXX wasn't always below site ██, they believe that scp-XXXX roamed the earth at some point. Researchers, (through carbon dating of the surrounding area) also suspect scp-XXXX to have been around since the Triassic period, and it is speculated that scp-XXXX may have even been responsible for the mass extinction that occurred in the later years of that period. because of its anomalous properties, it is unknown if scp-XXXX is immortal or has merely been in a sort of stasis for all this time. precautions are taken liberaly, because of how little is actually known about scp-XXXX. ██/██/████, scp-XXXX has exhibited bizarre behavior upon its awakening. such as, the dispersal of a severe ion pulse that blocks all electronic communication and video feed, blatant disregard to Newton's law of gravity as a creature of it's size moves effortlessly, and the summoning of a new entity, here by referred to as scp-XXXX-2. From the very limited data gathered on scp-XXXX-2, all that can be said for certain is that they are numerous, possibly unlimited in number, can pass through solid matter, and resemble a shadowy humanoid, varying in height and size. Because of worker carelessness we have lost a total of ████ on site personnel, who's names are to be hidden from unauthorized personnel. Not only has scp-XXXX dispatched an inordinate amount of foundation personnel, it has done so with preternatural speed. Further tests on loose hair found around the site have yielded minimal results, the only thing worth noting is traces of [REDACTED] found on follicles. The resilience of scp-XXXX itself is unknown, further testing is unlikely as scp-XXXX-2 could be released upon awakening, resulting in the elimination of any and possibly all life, resulting in an XK scenario. Scp-XXXX-2 seems to only reveal itself upon scp-XXXX's command, as it remains asleep, scp-XXXX-2 remains dormant, and it is assumed safe.

Addendum 01:

Harbinger. ██/██/████ //A delegation of two scientists and one C class personnel, are sent on site to collect a sample from scp-XXXX. the following is a silent video recording of the process:
The two scientists watch on video feed, as the lone C class is dispensed into scp-XXXX's cell. the C class can be seen struggling to collect a sample with his scissors, trying not to touch scp-XXXX. about five minutes into the process, something goes terribly wrong. The formerly peaceful beast, can be seen slowly getting up as the ancient moss that had covered it fell to the ground. The C class takes a couple steps backwards, but is paralyzed with fear. not a second later, scp-XXXX can be seen skewering the C class with it's spear like forearm, and flinging him off screen into the darkness of the cave. The two scientists are seen scrambling around the room as they commence lock down and report a containment breach. before anything else can happen scp-XXXX can be seen "howling" so to speak, and numerous black globs began to crawl out of the ceiling and floor of the facility, before the camera suffered some sort of ion pulse and quickly went out.

Addendum 02:

Begin Log: Somehow in less than a minute, the hundreds that were in the immediate area of site ██ were killed, and backup arrived a half an hour later at the cave's entrance. Scp-XXXX was reported to have been running around its cell looking for intruders. those on site hesitated to engage as the cave was filled with strange black globs that writhed on the cavern floor, going down seemed like suicide. but about an hour later all motion ceased and the globs vanished, leaving spectators puzzled as to what to do. a few days later, after constant surveillance, a couple D class personnel, were sent down to investigate. Everything was back to normal, but not a single body was found, nor any trace of them, it was as if they were all just erased. Scp-XXXX was sound asleep and the D class were retrieved unharmed. End Log

Addendum 03

Researcher ███████: The thing is unpredictable, we can not afford to risk anymore lives on this. scp-XXXX doesn't exhibit any aggressive behavior nor does it actively seek out life and kill it, once all on site were killed, it stopped. i dont know if [REDACTED] was just careless and pulled scp-XXXX's hair or something, all i know is scp-XXXX is extremely sensitive to touch. we musn't wake the thing. because frankly, we dont know what could happen, we dont even know its gender… if it indeed has one. Nothing is known of the black globs that scp-XXXX summoned either, but it is assumed that it is them that wiped out all on site, because of how numerous they are. along with the beast, who knows how dangerous those globs could be? from what we gather, they behave similarly to scp-106 but they seem to be under the control of scp-XXXX, as no instances of the globby humanoids have been seen since the incident. it would also make sense that these globs reside in a sort of pocket dimension, of a similar makeup to scp-106's, given their ability to just vanish… but, we have no way of knowing for sure. maybe when judgment day comes, that thing will reawaken as a harbinger of the end, if it indeed did cause the extinction of the Triassic period, it certainly could do it. Lets not make that happen sooner than it needs to if that's the case. Leave. It. Be.

FURTHER EXPERIMENTATION ON SCP-XXXX HAS BEEN HALTED PERMANENTLY ON ██/██/████
