SCP-4257

Item Number: SCP-4257

Object Class: Euclid

Special Containment Procedures: Due to cooperation with the Foundation, SCP-4257 is to be allowed to roam facility in the hours between 10am and 11am and must be accompanied by at least 1 foundation employee during this time. SCP-4257 requires written permission from a level 4 personnel to interact with D-Class or other SCPs. Any requests made by SCP-4257 are to be submitted to a level 4 personnel for approval.

[Containment procedure update following Incident 4257-sna]: SCP-4257 cannot hear upbeat music with a clear rhythm. Should such music play, earplugs or noise-cancelling headphones must be put on SCP-4257 immediately. Anyone found intentionally playing music near SCP-4257 will be demoted to D-Class.

Description: SCP-4257 is a male human Caucasian that responds to the name “Riley”. Every photo taken is unusually grainy to the point where identifying anything can be difficult. SCP-4257’s primary anomalous power is the ability to instantly kill any creature with the snap of it’s fingers. Autopsies of victims show that the snap causes the victim’s internal organs to liquify and violently exit the body through the eye sockets, nose, and mouth. Certain times there can be enough force for the skull to crack from the pressure, frequently resulting in the victim’s head to explode in a paste of liquid organs.

SCP-4257 shows a willingness to cooperate with the foundation and an interest in other SCPs. It displays a prior knowledge of some SCPs, including but not limited to 096, 035, 049, 173, and 682. SCP-4257 refuses to go into detail on where it got this knowledge, but is willing to use it’s knowledge to help MTF’s during a containment breach. Due to risks, this has been denied.

Incident 4257-sna: During a test, Dr. █████ played some music. SCP-4257 began snapping to the beat, resulting in the death of █ personnel before security was able to restrain it. Special containment procedures updated.

Addendum 2497.1: Discovery

SCP-4257 was discovered in the town of ███████, USA. Foundation stepped in on October 2█, after several reports of missing persons later found to have been gruesomely murdered. SCP-4257 was found at several of the scenes but was unable to be apprehended until a Halloween party, where it was serving fruit punch. When confronted at the party, SCP-4257 entered Foundation custody with minimal resistance.

We all know what Riley is capable of. He may be what we need to neutralize SCP-682.

Addendum 4257.2: Attempt to use SCP-4257 to terminate SCP-682.

Termination results:

0 minutes: SCP-4257 placed in a room conjoining SCP-682s containment chamber. Observers are watching from elsewhere on site through cameras built into the room SCP-4257 is in. Bulletproof window is between 682 and 4257.
1 minute: SCP-4257 snaps fingers. Force of organ expulsion causes window to shatter. 4257 knocked unconscious. 682 lost 50% of mass and is immobile.
2 minutes: D-class retrieve SCP-4257 from containment chamber. 4257 escorted to medical bay and treated. 682 marked down as presumed dead.
5 minutes: 682 regains consciousness but is dazed. Containment reimplemented.

Termination failed.

SCP-4236

Object Class: Thaumiel

Special Containment Procedures: SCP-4236 is allowed to freely roam Site ██, but is forbidden from leaving the site grounds. SCP-4236 is forbidden from conducting experiments at Site ██. No additional containment necessary.

Description: SCP-4236 is an animated skeleton that assists at Site ██. SCP-4236 does not require food, water, oxygen, or sleep. It has repeatedly survived encounters that would be fatal to humans, and volunteers for roles that are deemed dangerous.

Immortality Pod

Item #: SCP-5046

Object class: Safe, potential reclassification to Thaumiel

Special containment procedures: SCP-5046 or instances of SCP-5046-1 are not to be interacted with by anyone without written permission from a level 4 clearance personnel or higher. All members of the 05 council are to wear an instance of SCP-5046-1 at all times for their own safety.

Description: SCP-5046 is a large metal pod with a rack attached. On the rack, up to 10 instances of SCP-5046-1 can be found.

The front side of SCP-5046 is composed of glass. A clear compound consisting of either fluid or gel fills the interior when the object is closed, but drains out completely through unknown means immediately prior to opening, making acquiring samples impossible through available means.

All instances of SCP-5046-1 are bracelets similar to a digital watch, except they constantly monitor the vitals of the wearer. When put on, the bracelet will sear the skin and tighten, making removal impossible without severely damaging surrounding tissue. When no one is looking at the rack, instances of SCP-5046-1 replenish.

When someone wearing an instance of SCP-5046-1 dies, SCP-5046 enters an active state in which nozzles inside the object begin rapidly excreting a paste consisting of flesh, blood and small chunks of bone. This paste reforms into the shape of a human body identical to the creature wearing the instance of SCP-5046-1. SCP-5046 drains of gel and opens, releasing the body. These bodies have full motor function and retain the memories of the creature they are based off of.

Canned Silence

Item #: SCP-5105

Object class: Safe

Special containment procedures: SCP-5105 is kept in a room conjoining the armory of site ██, and should be used during instances for crowd control. All personnel interacting with SCP-5105 are to have a megaphone or other voice amplifier on them.

Description: SCP-5105 is a Bluetooth speaker with no brand or identifying properties on it. The anomalous properties of SCP-5105 manifest when the device is on but not connected to any devices. When on, any sounds quieter than 80¹ decibels within a 15 meter radius of the device are cancelled out entirely. Any sounds louder than 80 decibels retain the original volume.
