Special Containment Procedures:
[SCP-5001 is to be kept inside a modern foundation facility surrounded by thermal heat shields which are to be locked at all times in level [DATA EXPUNGED]. Level 2 clearance must be required to access SCP-5001 with permission from a B-Class personnel or above to conduct tests on SCP-5001. SCP-5001 must be kept at a constant temperature of 1811 Kelvin at all times and use of SCP-5001 must have personnel increase the temperature of the facility to 303 Kelvin before use of SCP-5001 can be done and after use of SCP-5001 the temperature of the facility must be dropped no less then 200 Kelvin. All tests conducted on SCP-5001 must be sent to [DATA EXPUNGED] for research of SCP-5001-1.]
Description:
[SCP-5001 resembles a ancient Norse style forge held up by a rusted metal frame of unknown composition with a engraving of Ulfberht's mark. SCP-5001 was first found during the English Wars in the 19 century and then sent to England under King George III's command. SCP-5001 was then found and sent to [DATA EXPUNGED] and then secured by Foundation Personnel which was found in a black market auction and then sent back to Dr.[DATA EXPUNGED] by Foundation Personnel.
SCP-5001 can be used and conducted without any difference between a regular forge. SCP-5001 can smelt and forge weapons with a carbon composition beyond the quality of ultra high carbon steel with a carbon content of 4% with the use of any metal alloys without changing the composition itself which can prove fatal with Class D fires that can be dealt with lowering the temperature of the facility. SCP-5001 when used will create SCP-5001-1 that is any weapon created by the subjects choosing. All other requests to use SCP-5001 will be denied until foundation members are able to conclude which materials are deemed to be safe to test and observe.]
[Addendum - 001: Dr.[DATA EXPUNGED] has asked D-Class personnel to attempt to burn out the flame from SCP-5001. Dr.[DATA EXPUNGED] calls in foundation security to close off all entrances to SCP-5001 due to a spontaneous combustion in a [DATA EXPUNGED] that evaporated every object except for SCP-5001 inside its containment.
Addendum - 002: Dr.[DATA EXPUNGED] has sent D-Class personnel with titanium and magnesium alloys to create SCP-5001-1 out of those materials. Dr.[DATA EXPUNGED] calls off the experiment after 2 minutes into the experiment after the alloys exploded into a Class-D fire which was neutralized. Dr.[DATA EXPUNGED] broke the switch to the temperature control system in frustration due to the D-Class personnel attempting to put both alloys in the forge at the same time before exploding into a mess that Dr.[DATA EXPUNGED] and other foundation staff had to clean up in the discomforting heat.
Addendum - 003: Dr.[DATA EXPUNGED] has now referred SCP-5001 to Ulfberht's Forge after successfully recreating a japanese sword for his "personal" research.]
