Special Containment Procedures: SCP-4565 is to be contained within a glass container inside the facility. All personnel entering and leaving the room in which this glass container is located are to be logged by on-site security.
In the event that SCP-4565 is worn by personnel they are to be captured immediately and have SCP-4565 removed from their person. They will no longer be assigned to SCP-4565 and will be assigned a personal therapist to avoid SCP-4565 having a lasting impact on said personnel.
Description: SCP-4565 is a gold colored ring with a red gem in the center. SCP-4565 can only effect someone who wears it when it is worn on a finger. When the ring is worn the person wearing SCP-4565 will seconds after receive a boost in confidence. Within minutes the person wearing SCP-4565 slowly becomes more confident. After wearing SCP-4565 for 15 minutes the wearer will begin to believe they can complete tasks that are impossible. After wearing SCP-4565 for more than 20 minutes the wearer is fully convinced that they are immortal and cannot die despite that not being the case. After wearing SCP-4565 for 25 minutes the wearer, still under the assumption they cannot be harmed, will begin to commit acts of self harming.
When questioned, the person wearing SCP-4565 says they do not feel any pain and still believe that they are immortal. After wearing SCP-4565 for 30 minutes the wearer will show signs of suicidal intent and will begin trying to find a way to take their own life. If the wearer is unsuccessful in doing this they will begin losing mental stability and show signs of insanity while continuing to try to find a way to take their own life. If the wearer is successful in taking their own life SCP-4565 will glow for a short period of time, roughly 5 seconds, during this time SCP-4565 will become extremely hot, melting through the finger of the previous wearer.
SCP-4565 was discovered by police, along with the body of an elderly woman, ███████████. Neighbors reported that she had not been seen leaving her home for nearly a week after returning home with various purchased items from a local jewelry store. Analysis of SCP-4565 showed that it was comprised of multiple unknown materials, the Foundation then took over the investigation and contained SCP-4565.

1. Removing SCP-4565 from someone who is wearing SCP-4565 will stop the progression of SCP-4565's effect over time, but will not get rid of the current or previous effect(s) SCP-4565 had on the wearer.
