Item #: SCP-XXXX

Object Class: Euclid

Special Containment Procedures: All instances of SCP-XXXX are to be individually placed into specially constructed containment cells. Any cell holding SCP-XXXX must be no closer than ten meters to another cell holding SCP-XXXX. And no glass of any kind can come withing twenty meters of any cell holding an instance of SCP-XXXX.

Cells made for SCP-XXXX must not have any biological material, glass in their construction. In addition each cell is to be fitted with panels of that are designed in order to make them easily removed and replaced. These panels are to be made at least 15cm thick and have a water tight fitting. Any white material with a density of at least 100kg/m3 can be used with the outlined procedures, however higher densities are preferable.

A single panel on each wall as well as a panel on the ceiling are to be made remotely detachable. Behind these panels a nozzle armed with a specially designed fast hardening foam is to be mounted.

Two other panels on the ceiling of the cell are to be made of clear plastic with a thickness of at least 45 cm. Each of these panels are to have a white plastic camera with clear plastic lenses mounted behind them.

On a bi-monthly the foam sprayers are to be used to encase SCP-XXXX. After the cameras give visual confirmation that SCP-XXXX has stopped moving two personnel armed with mobile foam sprayers are to enter the room with the door being resealed behind them. At which point the personnel are to fully encase any exposed elements of SCP-XXXX. Once this is completed SCP-XXXX is to be taken to a temporary holding cell while any damaged panels in its containment chamber are replaced.

During the panel replacement at least twenty kg of a non biological black material is to be left in the cell for feeding purposes.

Description: SCP-XXXX are polymorphic humanoids averaging two meters in height. They are entirely composed of a material with the appearance of transparent glass. SCP-XXXX also do not display any facial features and seem to be entirely smooth in their base state. And when in motion the areas of articulation have been noted to flow much like a viscous liquid. Despite this any contact with these moving areas will find them to be solid.

Every instance of SCP-XXXX has been invariable hostile to all living beings, however they have shown the ability to prioritize certain prey items. Specifically SCP-XXXX will attack, or avoid, any creatures capable of harming SCP-XXXX first. Past this designation it prioritizes living beings capable of locomotion. And finally if all other living creatures in an area have been consumed they will start feeding on living things that are unable to locomote. passed this they will leave the area in search of new prey, if that is impossible they will instead begin to feed on inanimate objects.

The main anomalous property displayed by all instances of SCP-XXXX is their unique method of consumption. Being composed of solid glass instead instances of SCP-XXXX will attempt to make physical contact with a prey item. Once in contact with the subject an SCP-XXXX can pass directly into or through the target bringing the afflicted things "color" with it. Upon removal of this "color" the SCP-XXXX will immediately absorb it into their own body, and the afflicted area of the creature or object will instantly start to turn translucent and rigidify eventually transitioning into a clear glass. This material has been found to be entirely mundane, except for it being anomalously fragile directly after its formation with almost every instance of it shattering to some extent while many examples are entirely turned to dust. Experimentation has been unable to determine the exact mechanism at place in this feeding process. However there have been some useful findings gleaned so far. Fist, not all materials can be drained at the same speed. Biological materials of any type seemed to have almost no resistance to SCP-XXXX affect. A single solid connection with a biological entity can drain it entirely except in the cases of the largest animals. And even a simple swipe or graze can do considerable damage to a subject even destroying limbs or outright killing the afflicted being. Beyond this materials with darker colors, black in particular, are drained relatively quickly if not as fast as biological materials. White materials on the other hand seem to have the opposite affect on this unanimous property as they take considerably longer to absorb than any other material by a factor of several times. The other useful piece of information found is that any material drained by has its hume levels drastically reduced. This lead to an investigation of the hume level of SCP-XXXX which was found to be incredibly high to begin with and would increase as it fed. This caused a test on the affects of scranton reality anchors on SCP-XXXX and while it unfortunatly did not inhibit it from feeding, the anchor was able to make instances of SCP-XXXX notable more lethargic.

Other anomalous effects of the creature include their high agility, as the creatures are reported to have been able to run at speeds up to seventy-five kph seemingly indefinitely.

Their ability to reform, reshape, repair their body, even displaying the ability to become entirely amorphous in order to fit into and through spaces otherwise inaccessible. SCP-XXXX instances have been shown to be replace lost material over time with incidents of them even being able to even recreate destroyed limbs if given proper time. The time needed to repair such damage also seems to be correlated to how much they are able to feed with the more they eat the faster the reconstruction.

Their ability to meld into or pass through any form or type of glass. In addition, once inside of a piece of glass they can instantaneously transition into any other piece of glass within ten meters and line of sight of the original.

Samples of the material from terminated instances of SCP-XXXX have defied all attempts to discover its composition. However the material has been noted to be extremely resilient, far beyond the parameters of any known form of glass.

While SCP-XXXX have no orifices they do commonly display a behavior of tearing open a jagged orifice across their face in the rough location where a mouth would be located on a standard human. However this behavior has only ever been displayed while an SCP-XXXX was aware of a human in its presence.
