Item #: SCP-XXXX

Object Class: Safe

Special Containment Procedures: SCP-XXXX is to be kept in a secure storage locker at Site-28. One-armed guard of security clearance level 3 is to monitor SCP-XXXX's storage locker at all times.

Description: SCP-XXXX is a brown leather notebook consisting of 100 pages, dating back to 1300AD. The phrase “La Creazione è Arte” is engrained on SCP-XXXX's front cover, translating to “Creation Is Art”. Approximately 32 pages of SCP-XXXX have been used, leaving 68 pages vacant. SCP-XXXX is incapable of being damaged, despite signs of wear and tear on its outer cover.

Upon SCP-XXXX being touched by a new individual, the subjects full name will appear on the inside of the front cover, with the title “Creator” ingrained below it in Italian, being either “Creatore” or “Creatrice” depending on the sex of the individual. Only one creator can exist at any given time. Attempts to interact with SCP-XXXX by anyone but its owner are unsuccessful. Upon the expiration of its current owner, SCP-XXXX will revert to its disowned state. At any time, the owner can relinquish their ownership of SCP-XXXX by leaving it untouched for approximately 1 week.

Upon being written/drawn in, SCP-XXXX will create the specified world in detail within an alternate dimension. The quality of specification seems to have little effect on whether the notebook is successful, with even the most childlike drawings/descriptions resulting in the creation of a world. SCP-XXXX doesn’t appear to have any physical laws or limitations in what it can create, with worlds made of ███████ brand chocolate and human flesh being recorded. Upon a world's creation, the page on which it was created becomes ineffective. Currently, there have been 32 worlds created by SCP-XXXX, designated SCP-XXXX-1 through SCP-XXXX-32.

The “Creator” can enter any world within SCP-XXXX by writing “enter” in Italian, “entrare in”, on the page of the world they wish to visit. SCP-XXXX will remain with the individual within this new world. Any individual who enters SCP-XXXX is physically incapable of dying, regardless of the conditions of the world. During research test XXXX-04, D-44572, entered a world comprised of a methane rich atmosphere. Despite the hazardous conditions, he was unharmed. However, pain is still existent. It’s noted that all subjects who enter SCP-XXXX have general knowledge of the Italian language. This effect does not carry with the subject upon exit. Furthermore, SCP-XXXX will always have a freshly inked quill behind its back cover. Any individual within SCP-XXXX can return by writing “exit” in Italian, “uscita”, on the same page they entered through.

Additional: SCP-XXXX was discovered on a cargo ship in the port of Bari, Italy, in 2004. It was detected by The Foundation after multiple crewmen reported that their captain, Captain █████, had seemingly vanished multiple times whilst overseas. Captain █████ was brought into Foundation custody, debriefed, and administered class G amnestics.

Addendum: There is a limit on how long a subject can remain within SCP-XXXX, being approximately 6 months. Upon hitting the 6-month limit, the individual will be booted from SCP-XXXX back into their previous position before initial entry.

Document XXXX-1: Following the events of incident XXXX-A (see incident XXXX-A), D-class testing of SCP-XXXX is indefinitely prohibited per 05 command.
