Item #: SCP-XXXX

Object Class: Euclid

Special Containment Procedures: SCP-XXXX is to be kept in secure storage at Site-19 until a new head researcher is appointed to the SCP-XXXX research team, at which point it will be moved to Site-██ for further study. No testing is to be done with SCP-XXXX until such a point. The storage room is to be monitored by one armed guard at all times. Failure to report to this position will result in serious reprimands and possible termination of employment.

Description: SCP-XXXX is a human skull of caucasian origin. It was found in 19██ by Foundation researchers in the Thar Desert. Upon a human subject moving into a 10-foot radius, SCP-XXXX will emit a swarm of mosquitos (henceforth designated SCP-XXXX-1), which will attack the subject. SCP-XXXX-1 will quickly drain most of the subject’s blood, with a 94% death rate. The skull seems to hold an infinite amount of SCP-XXXX-1, only ceasing when the subject is dead or no longer present in the area, at which point SCP-XXXX-1 will retreat back inside the skull. The sentences 'We are the plague. We are the herd. We are the decision.' are written on the cranium in Hindi.

Addendum SCP-XXXX-A: Dissection of deceased instances has confirmed that the mosquitoes in SCP-XXXX-1 are not of any previously known species. They display the capability to insert their proboscis’s far deeper than any previously known species, thus making them able to deplete up to 94% of a subject's blood.

Incident SCP-XXXX-1: At 13:42, on █/██/████, project head Dr Raymond Saul was concluding the latest test when SCP-XXXX emitted a swarm of SCP-XXXX-1 which flew into the vent and entered the observation room. All personnel present were killed, including Dr Saul. Site security recovered video footage of the incident. See Addendum SCP-XXXX-B for a transcript of the footage.
