Special Containment Procedures: SCP-XXXX is to be kept in a 3mx3mx3m chamber. Two or more storage containers must be kept within the chamber at all times. Any subjects entering the chamber must not have a storage container unless it's open, such as a bucket.
SCP-XXXX resides in storage containers with a means to close it. Any storage container with a storage capacity larger than a refrigerator, and any storage container with a capacity smaller than a thermos won't work. Any other such storage container must not be kept within a 6-meter radius of chamber. Any new containers must be kept open before placing in chamber.
Description: SCP-XXXX is a black, 3-jointed arm with a thin, dark mist radiating off it. SCP-XXXX is approximately 2 meters in length. The substance SCP-XXXX is made from and the mist it secretes is unknown. SCP-XXXX is menacing in appearance but docile in nature.
SCP-XXXX was discovered in [REDACTED], California when numerous reports of possessions going missing were active in the area. The first sighting happened on [REDACTED], 2019 when a man named [REDACTED] reported that a long, dark arm came out of a package and took his phone before retreating back into the box. He, and any other known witnesses, were given Class-C amnestics.
SCP-XXXX resides only within storage containers with a method to seal it, like a door or a lid. SCP-XXXX will move to another storage container within a 6-meter radius in 10 minute intervals. If no other containers are available, SCP-XXXX will move to the nearest one outside of the 6-meter radius. The speed it travels is instantaneous, and can't be tracked. If escaped happens, personnel must find the storage it moved to and bring it back to containment zone. Inhapited storages will have a faint black mist radiating off it.
If inhabited storage is opened, SCP-XXXX will come out and grab a random item on your person and pull it into the storage container before closing it. SCP-XXXX will not appear again for another 60 seconds. Instead, a large black stain will be found in place of SCP-XXXX, which also disappears after transfer. The whereabouts of any object taken by SCP-XXXX is unknown and any item in the storage container before transfer also vanishes.
