"The Dog-bed"

Special Containment Procedures: SCP- XXXX is to be kept in small cell (3m x 3m) with no windows, CCTV, or any other way to view the object. The only entry point is a steel door, which has four internal locks. No one will need to check on the item, however, the entrance needs to be supervised at all times, to make sure no one enters the cell.

Description: SCP- XXXX appears to be an ordinary yellow dog-bed, however, it has the potential to kill its victims or corrupt their minds, transforming them into the object's puppets. Just a second of a glimpse will cause the viewer to gain the obsession of _wanting to rest on the dog-bed_.

This will lead to two major symptoms:

• The victim will start laughing hysterically.
• The eyes of the victim will become an illuminating silver.

The bed could, however, kill you immediately, if you are too weak to view the object, by causing your brain to dissolve.

One the victim has been _possessed_, they will feel sensitive to sound and sight, and will attack any other living organism they see. This is a disturbing event, and no other entity has acted in this way. The possessed victim will force any limb, usually the arm, down the living organism's throat, until they drop dead. There has been no evidence as of yet to what happens with the deceased organism's body- "It just… disappears." - A 60+ citizen, Mr. Jo■■■■■■■ said after his son faced the fatal occurrence with SCP- XXXX

Addendum: The object was captured in 20■■, after 23 (roughly) citizens went missing in Leeds, England. It was collected by covering it with a large piece of fabric. Two SCP workers died during this event.
