CererianPastPluto

Item Number: SCP-4XXX

Object Class: Safe

Special Containment Procedures: SCP-4XXX is to be locked inside of a 30cm cubic locker made of lead to prevent radiation from seeping. If anyone without proper hazard equipment is exposed to SCP-4XXX, they should be monitored for any symptoms of radiation poisoning. If they do show symptoms, proper radiation poisoning treatment procedures are to be followed.

The object is to not have any interaction with any unauthorized sapient life forms, as of the fear of harm being done to them. If the object is to be interacted with by an unauthorized life form, then the victim is to have medical attention to make sure they have not been physically or even mentally damaged as a result of the interaction.

Description: SCP-4XXX is a near 1:1 replica of a standard adult male human skull, measuring about 15cm by 21cm by 23cm. The skull is however made of a mineral called autunite, a uranium ore which makes it radioactive. SCP-4XXX shows veins of an igneous-like rock matrix, closely resembling basalt. The mineral is polished and covered in lacquer, except for the back of SCP-4XXX's skull, which still shows tabular crystals common to that of autunite, which seem to have been left exposed. The crystals on the back have converted to the polymorph meta-autunite after being exposed to air and drying out.

SCP-4XXX is sentient and able to communicate to people through unknown means, instead a whisper will be heard by anyone in a radius of 5 meters. This whisper is practically unable to be picked up by any microphone and can only be made out through heavy audio editing. When given a date, SCP-4XXX will respond with a summary of the day relative to its location in the form of a short rhyme (see Addendum 4XXX-1). The person asking also becomes physically pained in some manner, depending on how far the date was asked from current day. The further the date is from the time it was asked will be more painful than those closer. If the person shows verbal of physical signs of recoil or any response to the punishment, SCP-4XXX will reply with "Knowledge comes at great costs".

SCP-4XXX was found by college students Dan M██████ and Frank K██████ on December ██, 20██ in a small cave on Mt. ███ ██████, Washington. After mentioning the day they were heading back to college, the two students were alerted by SCP-4XXX's response. When news got out of SCP-4XXX's paranormal nature, the SCP Foundation took SCP-4XXX into custody, along with a cell-phone video captured by Frank K██████. Anyone who knew of SCP-4XXX's minds were promptly wiped of anything pertaining to the object.

Addendum-4XXX-1: First Interview

Note: This is before researchers were aware of SCP-4XXX's harming nature. Dan M██████ was diagnosed with a headache after bringing up a date in conversation, but at the time it was brushed off as a case of the common cold.
