Special Containment Procedures: Items SCP-XXXX-A and SCP-XXXX-B are to be kept in a soundproof modified standard humanoid containment chamber that contains a personal computer without internet access loaded with the digital audio processing program known as "Reaper", as well as a PHONOCUT home vinyl press for testing.

Personnel required to enter SCP-XXXX's container for cleaning, meals, etc. are required to have earplugs or other personal noise reduction equipment on their person in case of emergency as well as a microphone with a toggle function for communicating with observing personnel. SCP-XXXX-B is free to roam about the facility when unaccompanied by SCP-XXXX-A barring restricted areas and should not be allowed to handle a PC with internet access at any time.

SCP-XXXX-A is to be locked behind a clear glass wall at least 1" thick with two wire holes each measuring 2" in diameter by SCP-XXXX-B every 48 hours to allow Foundation personnel in for cleaning. Pressed records are only to played on SCP-XXXX-A by SCP-XXXX-B or D-Class subjects and must contain music of or relating to the "Witch House" genre.

Description: SCP-XXXX-A is a white, otherwise nondescript turntable case with no identifiable branding or model. SCP-XXXX-A measures 45 x 22 x 10" with two small wheels on the side that is capable of being closed for transport and wheeled around similar to a suitcase. Music produced or mixed using SCP-XXXX-A can be classified as sounding ethereal and containing heavy synths, and any attempts made by D-Class personnel or SCP-XXXX-B to play pressed records of other genres have caused the eardrums of any personnel within audible range to burst. SCP-XXXX-B remains unaffected, and reports that SCP-XXXX-A is capable of playing the records to the same quality as any average record player, however this is yet to be observed successfully.

SCP-XXXX-A's materials are of indeterminate time period. The wood used to make the case appears extremely worn and aged around the corners, but seems to be in mint condition toward the center. Cataloging personnel have noted a relation to ██████████, signifying SCP-XXXX-A may be connected to the French Dancing Plague of 1518.

SCP-XXXX-B is a humanoid of Caucasian descent that refers to itself as "Steeve". SCP-XXXX-B appears to be around the age of 24 and possesses long, frazzled gray hair and unnaturally colored eyes with yellow sclera, red irises, and white pupils. Toxicology reports of SCP-XXXX-B after initial capture dictated extensive use of psychedelics as well as cannabinoids and ██████. SCP-XXXX-B does not appear to have a need for sleep, but does require meals.

SCP-XXXX-B displays slightly below average intelligence, however, is able to form weak memetic connections with those around it allowing the simple reception of others' thoughts in spite of this. SCP-XXXX-B does not appear to be able to control the occurrences of its memetic effects, and has occasionally expressed feelings of fear regarding them. It is unknown whether or not SCP-XXXX-B's attempts at empathy are caused by this fear or its circumstantial ability to read minds. SCP-XXXX-B apparently uses these thoughts to create a tune on SCP-XXXX-A most fitting for the one listening.

Preliminary examination of the anatomy of SCP-XXXX-B shows no visible difference from that of an average human being aside from eye color. Despite this, SCP-XXXX-B remains unaffected by the music produced on SCP-XXXX-A and evidently enjoys the mixing process.

UPDATE XXXX.1: Neuroimaging reports show extremely increased activity in the Wernicke’s area of SCP-XXXX-B's temporal lobe as well as the Amygdala, pointing toward better language processing as well as emotional perception. Further studies are necessary to determine potential uses, however this may be the cause of SCP-XXXX-B's immunity to SCP-XXXX-A's effects.

SCP-XXXX was obtained by the foundation following reports of a block party in ████████, Florida in the year 19██ lasting the total length of ██ hours. Survivors of the incident were promptly quarantined by Foundation personnel and reported the intense flashing lights and heavy synth beats having psychological effects ranging from losing consciousness upon arrival to a desperate desire to return to the party. Of the total ███ party-goers, only ██ survived. Remains of the civilians that did not make it showed signs of ruptured eardrums and ocular bleeding.

"Block Parties" of a similar magnitude have been held at site ██ using D-Class personnel on staff. It appears that the music is weakest when played as a recording and strongest when performed live accompanied by SCP-XXXX-B and many flashing lights.

The D-Class personnel participating in the "Block Parties" when at full strength and the observing staff on site report the following effects:

5 MINUTES OF EXPOSURE 20 MINUTES OF EXPOSURE 90+ MINUTES OF EXPOSURE
Muscular Spasms Partial Loss of Muscular Control Movement of Muscles Fully Powered by Anomalous Influence on Subject's Nerves, Causing the Victim to "Dance"
Dizziness Partial Shutdown of the Cerebrum Complete Brain Death Due to Aural and Ocular Exsanguination
No Difficulty with Thought Extreme Difficulty with Thought1 Loss of Audio Due to Static
