Item #: SCP-4747-J

Object Class: Safe

Special Containment Procedures: SCP-4747-J is to be kept in a storage container at Site-██. At least two guards are to be stationed near it at all times. During testing with non-Foundation personnel, only D-Class with low aptitudes in creative thinking should be allowed to handle SCP-4747-J. (See Addendum SCP-4747-J-A.)

Description: SCP-4747-J is a ring made out of solid silver. Upon the ring is a flat plate made out of solid lead with a symbol depicting a standard AK-47 assault rifle. Until worn, the only anomalous properties of SCP-4747-J is its invulnerability to damage upon its surface, surviving small arms fire and the effects of its anomalous properties.

Upon being worn on the right or left index finger, SCP-4747-J grants the ability to fire off bullets when vocalizing a firing sound, such as a “bang” or a “pew”. The properties of these invisible weapons are based on several properties.

  1. The imagined firearm. Imagining a weapon will cause the bullets to take the properties of bullets fired from that type of armament, appearing in a location relative to where they’d appear if actually being wielded, and flying with a similar muzzle velocity.
  2. The gesture used when firing the weapon. Attempting to fire off an imagined two-handed assault rifle with only one hand will result in no projectiles being produced. The wielder must use their free hand to mimic a proper grip on the weapon.
  3. The decibel level of the firing noise affects the overall damage of the bullet. Half-hearted firing sounds were recorded to deal damage consistent with a regular firearm against targets, while hearty yells of noises could amplify the damage of the bullets by ███%. It is noted that imagined silencers on the weapon seem to mute the wielder’s cries, while still retaining most of the weapon’s effectiveness.
  4. Additional vocalizations related to the weapon being used also seem to improve damage, from the vocalized “chk-chk” of a pump-action shotgun to the sound of shells being spit out of a bolt-action rifle.
  5. Depending on the weapon being used, a reloading action must be mimicked after enough rounds are expended. The weapon may also be reloaded by removing and re-equipping SCP-4747-J. Removing SCP-4747-J also causes all bullets fired off by the weapons used to demanifest.

Experiment Log 4747-J:

Test 1:
Subject: Researcher ███
Researcher ███ was instructed to imagine that they were carrying a standard M1911 handgun. Subject was recorded to fire off a single round with a halfhearted “bang”, damaging a target 50m away. Subsequent shots were far more spirited, dealing massive damage to the target. Test concluded.

Test 7:
Subject: Researcher ███
A test was carried out to examine the limits of SCP-4747-J’s capabilities. Subject was told to imagine a laser firearm, and fire it at the target. Damage consistent with that of other foundation laser arms was recorded. Test concluded.

Test 10:
Subject: Researcher ███
Subject imagined an M9 Flamethrower, producing a “fwooohhh” to fire the weapon. As expected, a jet of flames spewed out of thin air, roasting the target. Test concluded.

Test 14:
Subject: Researcher █████
Researcher █████ mimicked the usage of a bow and arrow, but no projectiles were fired. It is theorized that bows are not considered an actual firearm by the ring, or because bows don’t make highly audible sounds upon firing. Test concluded.

Test 20:
Subject: Researcher ███
Subject theorized that SCP-127 could be replicated in action. A volley of teeth was recorded to fire, puncturing the target. Upon attempting to reload the weapon, Researcher ███ found they were unable to replenish the clip. Researcher ███ asked to remain in the testing area for a period of five days. After the time period, Researcher ███ was able to fire off another volley of teeth from SCP-4747-J. Test concluded.

Writer's Note: Kinda feel like Test 20 is unneeded. Or the testing logs itself. I'm not too sure.

Addendum SCP-4747-J-A: During Test ███ with D-████ handling SCP-4747-J, the subject was reported to be handling a strange weapon. When questioned as to what he was mimicking, he began to make a gentle humming noise. Seconds later, D-████ began to yell as a gigantic red laser a foot in diameter tore out of the air, blasting a hole through the wall of Site-██ and killing ██ researchers in the process. From this point onward, D-████ breached with SCP-4747-J in hand, neutralizing members of the faculty with a variety of weapons, including shotguns, snipers, grenade launchers, miniguns, rocket-propelled grenades, and a wide variety of energy weapons.

When MTF Epsilon-11 (“Nine Tailed Fox”) moved in to neutralize the subject, several members took fire from an invisible “sentry gun” that D-████ laid out. As the D-Class came closer to escaping the facility, he was reported to use weapons that could fire out and around corners, conjure bullets from behind his targets, and on one occasion, used a weapon that fired a large segment of debris at MTF Epsilon-11.

Upon becoming cornered, D-████ fired off one last unknown weapon. A surprisingly small nuclear detonation occured within Site-██, killing ██ personnel on site and vaporizing D-████. SCP-4747-J survived the explosion, despite its close proximity. Upon the subject’s termination, all bullets fired off by SCP-4747-J vanished, but all damage remained. Security footage reveals that SCP-4747-J fired off a small nuclear warhead from the game ███████ by ████████. From this point on, if any D-Class subjects are to be allowed near SCP-4747-J, they must show low creative aptitudes and display absolute compliance with the Foundation.

Researcher’s Note: Stop making finger guns and yelling “bang” towards the survivors of the containment breach. It’s not funny! -Researcher ██████
