Special Containment Procedures: SCP 4919 is to be kept in a 3.5 X 2.8 ft hermetically sealed titanium case 1.5 inches thick. The surrounding room must also be hermetically sealed with decontamination locks to be used when entering & leaving the containment cell. Level 2 access is required to unlock the main lock & four (4) guards must be present at all times. Two (2) research personnel are to be on site constantly and all personnel manned are to be equipped with full biohazard suits & gas masks. If containment procedures are breached the anomaly is to be retained or, if unable to, terminated. SCP 4919 is to be moved every lunar month (29.5 days) for the safety of the foundation personnel posted to this SCP.

Description: SCP 4919 is, in appearance a large mushroom of the type Clathrus Archeri and gives off the scent of rotting flesh. When within 3 meters of something organic SCP 4919 proceeds to spray clouds of spores covered in a gluelike substance toward the creature. The spores are known as SCP 4919-A and seem to be able to sense living organisms. When in contact with SCP 4919-A the spores stick to the skin of the target and induce multiple symptoms (See below) that assist SCP 4919-A in killing the target. Once the targeted creature is either unconscious or dead SCP 4919-A will land on the corpse and begin to grow rapidly until the corpse is covered with fully matured SCP 4919.

Once fully grown, SCP 4919 will lay in wait for another victim to approach.
The symptoms of the spores are as follows: First, the subject feels dizziness, nausea & a headache.
Then, the place of contact with the spore becomes inflamed, and the subject feels intense pain.
Next, The wound enlargens and begins to secrete a substance similar to the glue covering the spores.
After, The subject, if not already dead, falls unconscious and begins to spasm and tremble.
