Special Containment Procedures: SCP-XXX is to be kept in a large dome resembling a rain forest on the inside. A live pig is to be sent into SCP-XXX's containment chamber weekly for feeding. If a member of SCP-XXX-2 escapes containment, MTF-6931, "Avian Enders", is to be sent out to terminate instances. If any personnel or civilians are infected by SCP-XXX-4, immediate termination is required.

Description: SCP-XXX is a large Asio flammeus¹, which, as of [REDACTED], is [REDACTED] years of age. SCP-XXX controls a hivemind made up of SCP-XXX-2 and SCP-XXX-3 of which are both also Asio flammeus, though of average size. SCP-XXX uses SCP-XXX-1 to scavenge for food to feed to all of the members of the hivemind.² If a human or a bird is attacked by an instance of SCP-XXX-1, it injects a anomalous disease, henceforth named SCP-XXX-4. After being infected by SCP-XXX-4, the subject will begin transforming into an instance of SCP-XXX-3 within 2 hours of originally being infected. SCP-XXX-3 instances look very similar to SCP-XXX-2 instances but they are significantly larger and much more aggressive. Instances of SCP-XXX-3 often guard SCP-XXX or SCP-XXX-2 and can eject an airborne version of SCP-XXX-4 through their mouth.³ It is to be noted that humans are not SCP-XXX's favourite food, nor SCP-XXX-2 and -3's favourite prey, instead they usually target any swine or hog they can find. SCP-XXX was discovered when reports of the "Monster Bird Death Plague" was reported in [REDACTED], the Foundation was called after local authorities went missing and more birds showed up.

Results: SCP-XXX-3 did not attack

Analysis: It seems SCP-XXX-3 only attacks threats

Results: SCP-XXX-3 did not attack

Analysis: I suppose SCP-XXX-3 only attacks things that are quite obvious threats

Procedure: D-1396 was instructed to stand in SCP-XXX's containment chamber and look as threatening as possible

Results: SCP-XXX-3 ripped D-1396 to pieces, then brought said pieces to SCP-XXX

Analysis: Well, I suppose that confirms our theory…
