Item #: SCP-5160
Object Class: Keter
Special Containment Procedures: [Paragraphs explaining the procedures]
Description: SCP-5160 is contemporaryily regarded as being a indigenous humanoid entity of unknown origin. Victim's of M.O.S events recall SCP-5160 to be rather tall (approximately 2.16 m), having a slender, rawboned physique with a very coarse crackeled appearance. The entity has no defining features like breasts or male genitilia but does have little twigs and sharp branches portruding out of its arms and chest.
Although the full extent and degree of SCP-5160's anomolous abilities remain unresolved, what's known is it's capabilities of traveling at supersonic speed (approximately 767 mph or Mach 1). And having an obtuse ability to climb and traverse through any type of tree.
SCP-5160 phenomena exclusively occurs during firearm deer hunting season from a period of November 15th through December 6th, an hour after sunrise or an hour before sunset. Most recorded instances have occured during what is known as "Opening Day" November 15th, November 30th, and December 6th. These are SCP-5160's most active periods when it is out. Every other day in between doesn't have as much activity but are still prone to have an instance occur. During these periods also called M.O.S events (Manitoba Opening Season) SCP-5160 will appear in biomes that have a pile of food laid out as bait for an animal being hunted. Often being dismissed as just another tree or branch, SCP-5160 will slowly creep closer towards it's victims until it is directly above or beneath them. These are the biomes M.O.S events occur the most in: heaviliy forested, tundra, and taiga.
M.O.S events consist of the following process.
November 15th Hunter will report seeing something moving in the tree's to fellow hunter alongside him/her. This report genuinely results in being dismissed as it's "just the tree's moving" a typical response. Upon second glance, SCP-5160 is no longer visible resulting in said hunter believing it was in fact just the tree's moving.
10 Minutes Later Approximately 10 minutes later, another ruslting will be heard from above the direct spot of the hunter's blind.
5 Minutes Later Approximately 5 minutes after that, SCP-5160 will emerge from the tree above and one of two outcomes will occur.
Outcome #1 SCP-5160 will torture hunter (or hunters) by slicing a deep laceration on the chest using it's fingers that appears to look like small sticks with pointed tips. It will then place a seed from a tree that directly correlates with the biome it currently is in. It will then continue to cut 1/8 inch wound pockets around the body to serve as (see SCP-5160 M.O.S Events)
