Item #: SCP-XXXX
Object Class: Safe
Special Containment Procedures: SCP-XXXX is currently contained in a standard holding cell in Lunar Area-32.
Description: SCP-XXXX is a standard NATO 5.56mm 30-round magazine. The magazine shows no anomalous properties until it is in the possession of a gun-wielding humanoid entity (See Addendum XXXX-1) that is in distress. When SCP-XXXX is in the appropriate possession, it allows the wielder to fire continually until one of the following criteria are fulfilled:
1. The wielder is no longer in distress.
2: The wielder has died.
3: The wielder loses possession of SCP-XXXX.
Additionally, the magazine has mild memetic properties and increases its holders' ability to escape a distressing situation. SCP-XXXX also notably increases the speed of fired projectiles, with the increase in speed linked to the speed the projectile would have traveled without SCP-XXXX. This increase in speed has no effect on the recoil of the weapon.
Addendum XXXX-1: After a brief lapse in security, SCP-████ managed to obtain a firearm, as well as SCP-XXXX. SCP-████ consistently damaged any attempts at recovery, due to consistent, non-stop fire for approximately 15 minutes, until the subject was contained.
Addendum XXXX-2: During an experiment on 25/01/20██, Researcher J. Ronald instructed a D-Class personnel to fire a portable laser device with SCP-XXXX in his possession, while being intimidated by D-████. When the laser was fired, SCP-XXXX accelerated the photons to a speed greater than the speed of light, causing space to tear open around D-████, forming a black hole, that quickly radiated away, killing D-████. The subject was terminated, and Testing Room 32-07 was quickly evacuated.
Addendum XXXX-3: Noticeably reduced structural integrity has been reported in Lunar Area-32. After an investigation by on-site maintenance, small, empty gaps were found in many structures, increasing in frequency near areas in which SCP-XXXX has been used. It appears that SCP-XXXX retrieves the matter required for firing rounds from nearby materials. Further testing approved. - Site Director
Recovery Log: SCP-XXXX was first reported on 18/11/19██ by foundation personnel, during the construction of Lunar Area-32. While excavating the area for construction, a metallic sphere was noticed inside of the moon rock. When handled by foundation personnel, the sphere disintegrated, revealing SCP-XXXX. The fragments of the sphere are currently housed alongside SCP-XXXX, and are labelled as SCP-XXXX-1.
