Item #: SCP-13106-J

Object Class: Euclid

Special Containment Procedures: SCP-13106-J is to be kept in a 60x30x30 cm glass terrarium furnished with smooth rocks, artificial broad-leaf plants, and a water dish of an appropriate size for it to climb into and out of. SCP-13106-J is to have four crickets placed in its enclosure three times a week and a baby mouse once a month, with its water replaced daily. Until the exact nature of its anomalous effects are understood, it should be housed within a soundproof containment cell with an STC rating of 50 or higher at Site-66, and only viewed indirectly.

Description: SCP-13106-J is an Australian Green Tree Frog (Litoria caerulea) specimen measuring 13 cm in length and weighing 96 grams. Aside from being above the average size for its species, SCP-13106-J doesn't appear to be unusual in any way, with no anomalous effects substantiated through direct observation to date. Possible links to SCP-1325 and SCP-2394 are being investigated.

SCP-13106-J was discovered by Field Agent Jones in Montgomery, Alabama during the demolition of a building linked to GoI ████████ ██ ███ ████████. According to Agent Jones, SCP-13106-J is capable of vocalization and ambulation mimicking that of a human, though only Jones himself has witnessed this. It is unclear whether the object is actually capable of these feats, or if Agent Jones' perception of it is being altered in some way. Due to a lack of evidence and Agent Jones repeatedly claiming that he's seen the object behaving in an anomalous manner while alone with it and in the absence of third-party observation, it's been suggested that he submit to psychiatric evaluation.

"Foundation work can be incredibly taxing, y'know, and psychological breaks do happen. We intend to study SCP-13106-J to the best of our considerable ability just as much in the hopes of proving Agent Jones' mental wellbeing as containing a possible cognitohazard… but all said and done, it's equally possible that the guy's just looney tunes." - Researcher Mori
