Object Class: Keter
Containment Procedure: Due to the nature of the object, it is always within 1 meter of the host and the object must be secured within a briefcase, requiring a certain key always held by the current armed overseer of the object and host. If the host is to ever obtain the key and successfully open the case, a lockdown must be enacted and all on duty personal are to detain the host at all costs.
Description: SCP-XXXX is a standard issue M1 Garand of unknown creation date. Upon further examination, nothing out of the ordinary is different from the object and any other rifle of it's make.
The anomalous effect produced by the object happens in "stages."
The first stage consists of the object choosing a host, usually the closest human male that it deems "combat worthy."
During the second stage, the host will make an attempt at holding the object, disregarding any verbal attempt at stopping it and forcefully injuring anyone who attempts to physically stop it.
The third stage occurs if the host is able to put it's hand on the weapon, it will then remain idle until a living humanoid entity enters a 1 meter radius of the host.
During the fourth stage the host will fire upon the living humanoid until it has been terminated. Once the object runs out of ammunition and ejects the clip, a loud "pinging" sound can be heard. This sound furthers the stage of the object an infinite amount of times. Each stage furthers the efficiency and strength of the host and the object. See Incident Log XXXX-1.
Note: The "pinging" sound produced by SCP-XXXX can be heard over any sound in a 1 meter radius.
Incident Log XXXX-1: D-XXXX, during a containment breach attempts to reach SCP-XXXX. Nearby personel attempt to warn D-XXXX that further attempts will result in extermination. D-XXXX ignores this remark and continues to head towards SCP-XXXX. Agent XXXXXXX attempts to restrain D-XXXX, receiving a right hook to the stomache, knocking him to the ground.
