Special Containment Procedures: As ordered by Researcher Doctor Herman, SCP-XXXX-1 cannot be relocated. SCP-XXXX-1 is no threat to current Foundation procedures, to the secrecy of the Foundation, and the thriving, safety and normalcy of humanity. Because of this and that it is unlikely SCP-XXXX-1 will provide useful historical insight to the Foundation if relocated to a Foundation site, SCP-XXXX-1 will not be relocated. SCP-XXXX-1 is to continue its actions and day-to-day proceedings as normal; no direct Foundation interventions are required for SCP-XXXX-1 and SCP-XXXX-2.

Interviews with SCP-XXXX-1 are to be done with SCP-XXXX-1's permission. Interviewers are to interview SCP-XXXX-1 with courtesy and as such, interviewers are to comply with requests from SCP-XXXX-1.

To prevent SCP-XXXX-1 from being seen by passing ships, the Foundation is to secure a 2km ship barrier around SCP-XXXX-2, and watch over SCP-XXXX-1 over long-distance telescopes. As a money-saving venture, the Foundation is discussing instead watching over SCP-XXXX-2's area over a long-distance telescope from a single ship. This is due to the low ship traffic within the area, and due to SCP-XXXX-2's depth within the sea, making them barely visible.

Description: SCP-XXXX-1 appears to be a young humanoid of Middle-Eastern descent. SCP-XXXX-1 has significantly higher swimming capabilities, swimming approximately 550% faster than an average human, and can breathe below water1 and above water. On a given day, SCP-XXXX-1 tends to swim for 12 hours, hunting for fish and various sea objects (such as pearls, shells, and man-made waste), not swimming past 1.5km of SCP-XXXX-2. SCP-XXXX-1 was never recorded being on land, and no attempts by the Foundation have been or will be done to relocate SCP-XXXX-1 to land. SCP-XXXX-1 is fluent in the languages French, English, and Arabic.

SCP-XXXX-2 is a 235m2 two-story house located on the seafloor of the Red sea, located 5km from Dahab, Egypt. Despite being submerged, no water appears to enter due to a permanent air bubble created by SCP-XXXX-1.

SCP-XXXX-2's interior appears to keep up with modern Western styles. It is unclear how SCP-XXXX-2's interior changes. Within SCP-XXXX-2 are standard house appliances such as toilets, faucets, showers, and 2 computers. These appliances appear to function as intended through anomalous means. The exterior of SCP-XXXX-2, particularly the wood exterior walls, appear to be habited by various clam species. SCP-XXXX-2's origins are unknown. Research is undergoing.

SCP-XXXX-1 appears to live in SCP-XXXX-2, and in interviews calls this place their "home". Within SCP-XXXX-2 is a room full of various seashells and pearls.2 SCP-XXXX-1 refers to these objects as "artifacts collected on explorations." Because these objects have been proved to have no anomalous capabilities, the Foundation displays (10) of these objects in the Anomalous-Derived Object Display Room at Site-██.

Discovery: After the disappearance of the plane of ████████ Airlines Flight ███, the Foundation started a month-long search of various sectors of oceans and seas for possible anomalous causes of the disappearance. On the 25th of May, 2015, SCP-XXXX-1 was detected through a Radio Wave intended to scan the seafloor of the Red sea. When SCP-XXXX-1 was reported, a team of 3 divers (hereby referred to as Divers 1 - 3) were sent to explore the location. SCP-XXXX-1 was seen on diver cameras gesturing divers to come into SCP-XXXX-2. After diver 1 consulted Level 4 Researcher ████████ █████, the diving team was instructed to enter SCP-XXXX-2. Below is a video transcript of the events that followed.

Date and Time: 25 May, 2015, 15:03

Foreword: All events are recorded from Diver 1's camera. Audio is derived from recorded radio communications. The 3 divers in the team were not experienced in interviews.

People:
- Level 4 Researcher ████████ █████ (hereby referred to as Commander for brevity)
- Divers 1 - 3 (sent by Commander)

[BEGIN LOG]

Diver 1: Copy sir. Entering the house.

(Diver 1's camera points to SCP-XXXX-2. SCP-XXXX-1 is shown beckoning the diver team while standing in the front doorframe.)

Diver 3: Wow, how do they live here?

Diver 2:…I guess when you do this job for a while it's nothing surprising.

(Diver 1's camera shows Diver 3 inside of SCP-XXXX-2's doorframe, SCP-XXXX-1 is standing behind the door while keeping it open. The remaining 2 divers arrive inside SCP-XXXX-2. The camera shows a large room containing a large dining table in the centre of the main room lit by an LED lightbulb.)

Diver 1: Hello…?

SCP-XXXX-1: (Pointing to Diver 1's helmet) You know you can take off those.

Diver 1: Commander, did you hear that?

Commander: Yes I did. Take off the helmet. Make sure you bring the camera and the radio. Record everything that happens.

Diver 1: Alright.

(All 3 divers take off their helmets. Diver 1 removes the camera and radio from their helmet.)

Diver 1: Is it fine if we record everything?

SCP-XXXX-1: Sure, sure, no problem.

(There is a 5 second pause.)

Diver 1: Ummm… We have a lot of questions for you. Why were you-

SCP-XXXX-1: Hold on. Hold on. Take a seat and I'll answer everything.

(All 3 divers sit down on the dining table seats.)

Diver 1: So continuing, why were you waving at us earlier?

SCP-XXXX-1: (Deep breath.) Well I haven't seen anyone around my house in a while. I wanted you guys to come in.

Diver 3: Alright then. How long is a "long time"?

SCP-XXXX-1: Ever since the seas split. Before the seas were as… vile as it is now.

Diver 2: Hold on. You said you haven't seen anyone in a while. How do you have all this technology - these lightbulbs? Where do you get this from?

SCP-XXXX-1: I swim to the east, I walk on land and I buy things.

Diver 1: How do you make your money?

SCP-XXXX-1: These… artifacts I collect and I sell them.

Diver 1: Can you tell us what these "artifacts" are?

SCP-XXXX-1: My treasures I collect along with my explorations. If you want, I can show you where I collect my most prized ones.

Diver 2: We can look at that later. Back to my previous question, why do you buy that technology?

SCP-XXXX-1: Look, living in this house… it gets… boring. I need this place to have modern technology and the internet.

Diver 2: Right… But you are 1000 bloody yards down the water. How does the internet work here?
SCP-XXXX-1: Don't worry about it. Listen-

Diver 3: And your house is underwater. How did you transport the technology here?

SCP-XXXX-1: I create a large air bubble for travel.

Diver 1: And is anyone seeing you do this?

SCP-XXXX-1: Never. No ships come around here anymore, the last time I saw people around this house was when this sea was split.

Diver 3: Really? Can you tell us what happened when "the sea split"?

SCP-XXXX-1: (Sighing) It's a long story… You are asking me too many questions. How about I ask you some questions?

(The team discusses with Commander over the radio. SCP-XXXX-1's mood changes drastically after hearing the discussion.)

Diver 1: Yes sir… Very well. (Diver 1 looks to SCP-XXXX-1) As you heard on the radio you may ask questions as long as you respond to our further questions. Per Protocol, we may only reveal information that is appropriate to Level 0 personnel under the Foundation.

SCP-XXXX-1: (Shakes their head)-what on earth is this Foundation? What the hell is "Level 0"? What are you people going to do to me?

Diver 1: To answer your first and third question, the SCP Foundation is a clandestine organisation dedicated to containing the anomalous or supernatural - like you. You had no way of breathing underwater and you had significantly faster swimming abilities, as shown through our life-analysing radar. Per protocol, us three were sent down to find the source of this anomalous behaviour, which was you. Keep in mind we may watch over you over the following days in case anything comes up that could cause any… harm to people-

SCP-XXXX-1: I do not intend to harm anyone!

Diver 1: -and if anything comes up, we will remove you and place us in our facilities.

SCP-XXXX-1: Why don't you just… remove me right now?

Diver 1: We may discuss with our commander for further actions. You will remain here for now.

(There is a 5 second silence.)

SCP-XXXX-1: Thank you. I think that clears all the questions I had.

Diver 3: Great, can you answer the question I had… the question about the sea splitting?

SCP-XXXX-1: Right. So where do I start? I was watching through this window (points to the window behind Diver 1) when the sea split. A man came through leading a very large crowd of people. They passed me… various people holding various belongings.

Diver 3: Did they see you or the house?

SCP-XXXX-1: Yes they did. They didn't seem to care, I think they just wanted to get out of there as soon as possible. No time to worry for me.

Diver 1: Well thank you for complying with us. We have one last request, is it possible we could see your artifacts?

SCP-XXXX-1: Sure. Follow me.

(The team follow SCP-XXXX-1 up the stairs. They arrive at a wooden door. SCP-XXXX-1 opens the door. Diver 1 follows behind Divers 2 and 3. The room is lit by several candles, placed around the room. SCP-XXXX-1 opens a cabinet positioned in the back of the room.)

SCP-XXXX-1: (Holding a pearl) I've had these for a long time. It's harder to find treasures as great as this now.

Diver 2: Why is it harder?

SCP-XXXX-1: Eh, those bloody ships. Always fishing more than they need to. Less mollusks come to this area.

(SCP-XXXX-1 shows the team artifacts of different cabinets.)

SCP-XXXX-1: You know you can take some of these if you want?

Diver 1: Really?

SCP-XXXX-1: I haven't had anyone come here in a long time. Take it as a departing gift.

(The team collects a total of 10 different artifacts. Following a small discussion with SCP-XXXX-1, they leave SCP-XXXX-2.)
