SCP-XXXX
A Viper’s Tears

rating: 0+x

Item #: SCP-XXXX

Object Class: Safe

Special Containment Procedures: SCP-XXXX is to be kept within a locked plexiglass box 1 foot in height and width. The key to the box is to be in possession by a facility researcher at all times.

Description: SCP-XXXX is a small wooden bowl containing a viscous green liquid. The bowl itself has engravings of a large snake coiling around the bowl, coming to a stop right behind its tail. The body of the snake is painted a dull green, and the eyes are painted crimson.

This green liquid is acidic, however it shows no sign of melting through its container. If the contents of SCP-XXXX are removed in any way, SCP-XXXX refills itself over the span of an hour. Further investigation into the source of the acid is allowed, seeing as no source has yet been found.

The acid contained within SCP-XXXX has shown what appears to be “selective melting”: completely dissolving some objects while keeping others perfectly intact. SCP-XXXX has spared valuables such as jewelry, cell phones, and other electronics, but shows no hesitation to dissolve organic material such as bark or flesh. Testing on D-Class personnel is no longer permitted due to a large amount of casualties. Testing on inorganic material is permitted, but caution is advised.
