Item #: SCP-XXXX

Object Class: Euclid

Special Containment Procedures: SCP-XXXX is to be kept in a standard humanoid containment chamber, the interior of which must be covered by a 30-centimeter-thick layer of concrete, wood, or other opaque building material of a type used at or before the year 1827. This modified containment chamber is to be lit by gaslight. All personnel who enter the chamber must first change into period-design clothes, which are to be kept on-site and made accessible to any personnel who require it for observation of or experimentation on SCP-XXXX. These clothes should have all traces of SCP-XXXX-A washed off of them at the end of each shift. Personnel should be escorted to a shower immediately upon exiting the containment chamber and exchange the period clothing for their own.

As of Incident XXXX-01, no personnel above Class D are to be permitted to enter SCP-XXXX's containment chamber without an escort of security officers at least equal in number to the number of SCP-XXXX present in containment. Personnel whose bodies are modified in any way (including implanted medical devices, prosthetics, and anomalous divergent anatomy) are not to be assigned to SCP-XXXX.

Any personnel that come into contact with SCP-XXXX-A while it is in an active state and/or provokes a 'feeding' reaction in an instance of SCP-XXXX is to be evacuated from the containment chamber while all aggravated SCP-XXXX are restrained. The affected personnel is then to be completely cleaned of all traces of SCP-XXXX-A as quickly as possible and treated for chemical burns.

Description: SCP-XXXX is the designation for a group of humanoid entities (designated SCP-XXXX-1 through -6.) All 6 of the known instances of SCP-XXXX are currently in foundation custody. Each instance of SCP-XXXX is a human being whose body and clothing is entirely monochromatic and whose neck terminates in the head of a fountain pen roughly proportioned to the size of a human head. They appear to be dressed in clothing popular among adults in France circa 1820, though experimentation has revealed that these clothes are actually part of SCP-XXXX's anatomy.

Instances of SCP-XXXX naturally secrete an anomalous substance from a [REDACTED] in their fingers identical in chemical composition to ink (designated SCP-XXXX-A) that "drips" up its arms. Instances of SCP-XXXX become aware of a subject's presence only when that subject is marked with SCP-XXXX-A. In addition, SCP-XXXX-A displays highly corrosive properties when in contact with manufactured objects whose designs were first implemented after May 25, 18271. If such an object is marked with SCP-XXXX-A and fully dissolved, one or more SCP-XXXX will [DATA EXPUNGED] absorbing the resulting fluid completely.

Instances of SCP-XXXX

SCP-XXXX exhibit no understanding of speech, though they do react to auditory stimulus. All instances of SCP-XXXX display great proficiency in the use of all tools that do not activate the corrosive properties of SCP-XXXX-A. Their capacity for logical reasoning, problem-solving, and memorization with relation to these objects is exceptional. Despite their apparent inability to comprehend speech, they possess a complete understanding of French, Austrian German, and Romanian in their written forms, and will write extensively in any one of these languages if given the proper tools. Tools that do activate SCP-XXXX-A's corrosive properties have been shown to provoke erratic, violent behavior in SCP-XXXX.2

Addendum: The following documents were written by individual instances of SCP-XXXX as part of Experiment XXXX-092. Additional documents may be made available upon request at Dr. ███████████'s discretion.
