Item #: SCP-XXXX
Object Class: Safe
Special Containment Procedures: Access to SCP-XXXX by civilians is to be restricted by Foundation personnel posing as local police in an ongoing search for squatters. Five (5) armed guards are to remain posted around the perimeter of SCP-XXXX at all times to prevent civilians entering. SCP-XXXX-1 & SCP-XXXX-2 are to be monitored through the use of remote controlled drones looking through the window of Operating Room B12.
Description: SCP-XXXX is ‘The St. Charles Hopeful Hospital’, an abandoned medical establishment founded in 1955, and shut down in 1965. SCP-XXXX’s anomalous nature is believed to have manifested sometime between 1987-1988.
SCP-XXXX’s anomalous nature manifests when it is unobserved. While unobserved equipment, furniture, wallpaper, colour schemes inside SCP-XXXX are altered, manifest and de-manifest at random. The only room that is unaffected by the anomaly is room B12, where both SCP-XXXX-1 & SCP-XXXX-2 are located.
SCP-XXXX-1 is a 25 year old Caucasian male humanoid standing at approximately 195 centimeters tall, and weighing approximately 235 kilograms. Despite SCP-XXXX-1’s weight, they do not display signs of obesity. SCP-XXXX-1’s DNA matches that of a ‘David Mitchells’, a man who was announced missing in the 1960s.
SCP-XXXX-1 exhibits superhuman strength, speed and durability. SCP-XXXX-1 has shown significant anomalous resistance to most forms of physical harm.
SCP-XXXX-2 is a 65 year old Caucasian male, approximately 150 centimeters tall. Every documented observation of SCP-XXXX-2 has shown them affixed to multiple life support systems, however, it is unknown if these machines improve SCP-XXXX-2’s conditions.
SCP-XXXX-2 suffers from cataracts in both eyes, abdominal pains, asthma, and a multitude of other disorders, a full evaluation can be found in SCP-XXXX-2 Health Evaluation Log.
It is believed that SCP-XXXX-2 cannot die while within the confines of SCP-XXXX.
Addendum:
Civilians observing the body of water in which SCP-6427 was discovered.
Item #: SCP-6427
Object Class: Euclid
Special Containment Procedures: Routine sweeps of the point in which SCP-6427 was originally discovered are to be carried out bi-weekly by no fewer than four Level 3 or higher personnel. These routine sweeps are to be carried out under the guise of volunteer work for the Support Crustaceans Program.
If any SCP-6427 instances are discovered during routine sweeps, they are to be removed and any nearby surfaces cleaned with soap and warm water. Surfaces that have come into direct contact with SCP-6427 instances are to be cleaned with hydrogen peroxide.
Any manifestation of SCP-6427 outside of its origin point or Foundation care is to be reported to Project Manager Riley Welsh and Containment Procedures updated accordingly.
Discovery: SCP-6427 was originally discovered in a swamp in Florida on the 26th of August 2008. After reports of barnacles living in freshwater began circulating locally, undercover Foundation agents seized an instance of SCP-6427 and tested it for anomalous behaviour.
When tests came back positive, Foundation agents established and enacted temporary Containment Procedures before Riley Welsh was appointed as SCP-6427's Project Manager.
Description: SCP-6427 are a species of barnacles surrounded by anomalous phenomena including (but not limited to):
- Manifesting and de-manifesting at the same location.
- Unable to registered by various anomalies (Example: An anomalous human with functioning eyes may not be able to see SCP-6427).
- The ability to weaken or neutralise some anomalous effects.
- Instances undergoing synchronised, spontaneous explosions. (The strongest recorded explosion consisted of 517 specimens detonating within 3 seconds of each other. The explosion caused part of a nearby beach to collapse into the ocean)
If approximately 500 or more (3,250) SCP-6427 instances are arranged in closed occult shapes (such as pentagrams), SCP-6427-1 will manifest within the inside of the perimeter of the closed shape.
SCP-6427-1 is a 4.2 meter tall semi-humanoid organism constructed primarily out of multiple living starfish, barnacles (all barnacles have been instances of SCP-6427) seaweed, sea urchins and one clam located in its central mass. SCP-6427-1 possesses Level 3 ontokenetic abilities. SCP-6427-1 understands English and can fluently it, though no source of these vocalisations can be identified. Removing SCP-6427 instances from SCP-6427-1 is not advised.
SCP-6427-1, despite what it claims it has done, is not believed to be actively hostile or a threat to the Foundation.

Item #: SCP-XXXX
Object Class: Keter
Special Containment Procedures: Any and all physical documentation affected by SCP-XXXX are to have new copies made every week, with older copies burnt. Digital documentation affected by SCP-XXXX is to be edited by RAISA officials weekly if possible to restructure relevant information. SCP-XXXX is only to be described to personnel when needed.
Any documentation affected by SCP-XXXX is to have its Security Class raised to Level 4 until a way to mitigate or neutralise SCP-XXXX’s effect is found.
Research to neutralise or mitigate SCP-XXXX’s influence is ongoing.
Description: SCP-XXXX is a concept capable of affecting the Foundation’s internal documents. These affected documents are classified as SCP-XXXX-1. SCP-XXXX’s influnce includes editing, adding, or removing content from said documentation, physical or digital.
New SCP-XXXX-1 instances generate randomly and invariably: there are no signs of a document being compromised until SCP-XXXX makes changes to said document. SCP-XXXX is able to communicate through said documentation, though oftentimes obfuscates important information instead with redundant or nonsensical sentences. SCP-XXXX often obfuscates important information instead with redundant or nonsensical sentences.
This effect worsens overtime, with newer information (if able to be added) corrupting much faster and progressing to more extreme changes. Due to the end of documents generally being added after the start of the documentation, and being ‘younger’, digital documentation oftentimes becomes incredibly blown up and useless towards the end of an article.
Physical copies often become unreadable, as text manifests on documentation without generating new room for said text. This leads to overlapping of text, eventually leading to complete unread-ability. Your paper overflows with my truth.
Attempts to revert SCP-XXXX’s edits to affected documentation invariably fail. __ I am too strong.__ Foundation designed AI inexplicably recognises SCP-XXXX as completely normal, intended additions. Proposed revisions are not logged, and cannot be approved for changes for the documentation. Attempts to create copies or functionally identical copies of affected documentation are also affected.
Addendum 5470.1 – SCP-5470 Proposed Neutralisation Method:
AUDIO TRANSCRIPT
FOREWORD: After numerous documents were affected by SCP-5470 with immediate containment procedures and multiple neutralisation efforts failing, a meeting was called between multiple containment and neutralisation specialists and O5-1. The following is a transcript of that meeting.
In Attendance:
O5-1 - Is Hopeful
Dr. Thomas Hussein - Director of Counterconceptual Division
Dr. Miles Cooper - Director, Pataphysis Department
Dr. Maria Jones - Director, RAISA Specialist
Dr. Julie Lawson - Ethics Committee Liaison
Dr. Anthony Rorsarch - Head of Neutralisation Department
[BEGIN LOG.]
O5-1: You have all been gathered here today to discuss SCP-5470 containment efforts, or neutralisation efforts if necessary. If any of you would like to be the first to present their proposal, please go ahead.
Dr. Maria Jones: I think I should say this extremely blankly: SCP-5470 cannot be edited. We’ve tried bots to trim the fat it injects into these articles, and they have all failed shortly after being deployed. We can’t edit the added content in any way, shape or form. We can rearrange what we wrote, but the anomaly is quick to ruin it all again. I will not accept any proposal that suggests another method of editing the articles – it just doesn't work. (Pause) Thank you.
O5-1: Thank you, Jones. Next, please.
Dr. Miles Cooper: SCP-5470 has been the subject of much heated debate within my department leading up to this meeting. Together, we have come up with a simple proposal. We create multiple Class III narrative based entities and insert them into 5470’s original documentation. The anomaly has shown it needs time, it can be fast, but it can be overwhelmed. Ms. Lawson can attest to this.
Dr. Julie Lawson: On behalf of the Ethics Committee, I can say with confidence that the anomaly is conscious in some way, and does require some time to actually edit documentation.
Dr. Miles Cooper: Thank you Ms. Lawson. As the anomaly has a quantifiable speed limit, it is believed that a significant number of Class III narrative entities could overrun the anomaly, able to dilute the anomalous concept’s being into a watered down, harmless idea.
Dr. Julie Lawson: Now, I don’t mean to sound like I’m calling you a hypocrite, Miles, but you use my authority as proof that the anomaly is sentient and also, theoretically able to be overrun, correct?
Dr. Miles Cooper: Correct.
Dr. Julie Lawson: Right. Your second point, however, details that this does not destroy the anomaly. It merely forces it into a harmless state.
Dr. Miles Cooper: I’m still following.
Dr. Julie Lawson: Would that state not be comparable to some kind of hell-state? A kind of purgatory? To render a sentient idea braindead? I do not like this proposal for that reason, but if no other alternatives can be found, I will be forced to approve.
O5-1: And what kind of resources would it take to create this number of narrative entities?
Dr. Miles Cooper: We’d need to create approximately one million of these entities, which requires at least 4 people-
O5-1: One million? One million? That’s four million people working solely on SCP-5470, just to create the things – not even figure out how to transport them and test them – at least. That’s not accounting for the avoidance of redundancy in these types of things so the anomaly doesn't find a universal way to destroy them all. That increases the resources exponentially. I’m sorry, but I cannot approve this. The amount of resources it requires is detrimental to even the Foundation. Next.
Dr. Anthony Rorsarch: I’ve had quite a few people look over this, Overseer. Quite a few. It is a tough situation this anomaly has put us in, I will say that. We’ve seen the counterconceptual division spin trivial ideas into empty space in the noosphere. This is different. Much different. We’re in here – the physical world – reaching into something else and trying our best to manipulate it there. It’s like touching something through a plastic bag.
Dr. Anthony Rorsarch: We can’t do that here. It requires a lot of energy to do it purely in physical space. If we could do it, we’d never have to deal with any memetic or antimemetic anomaly ever again. We need to plant our foot in the conceptual world.
O5-1: And how do you suppose we do that?
Dr. Thomas Hussein: If I may, overseer. My team and I worked with Anthony and his team. We’ve made things in the conceptual world all the time – at a small scale. But we do know that we can scale up this procedure. With your approval, we’d be able to use basic ideatic creation principles to create a superconcept: incredibly powerful ideas made possible due to their prevalence, often the byproduct of human nature. Sure it wouldn't be as powerful as concepts such as the Earth, or existing, but it should be powerful enough to neutralise SCP-5470.
Dr. Thomas Hussein: However, to do this, we’d need to merge our conceptual anchor and physical anchor into one system, rather than one just looking like the other but still being weak. Anchoring them together makes them stronger, and we absolutely need this fortitude against SCP-5470. The only way we know at present to do this, would be to severely augment a human and have them interact with the noosphere in a dream-like state.
O5-1: Ms. Lawson, have you looked over the ethical concerns of these documents?
Dr. Julie Lawson: Indeed I have, prior to this meeting. There are small revisions that must be made and insurances to be enacted, but as long as those are met the proposal has my blessing to proceed.
O5-1: And, Mr. Rorsarch and Mr. Hussein, what are the expenses of this proposal?
Dr. Anthony Rorsarch: It would require two months of work, the joining of myself and Hussein’s men to work on this project for that time period and a few orders from Anderson Robotics, sir.
O5-1: Very well then. The Rorsarch-Hussein proposal is hereby approved for immediate enactment. I shall have my assistants get the details sorted. You are all free to go.
[END LOG.]
Shortly after this, a "short” period of time in this case being not long, a “not long” period of time being two months and three days, the proposal was complete and ready. The woman who would be the physical anchor was not grown for the experiment: she was a young woman, Hannah Everwood, who was born of her mother and her father’s flesh. She was loved in their arms. When the Foundation took her, they made her mother and her father forget her, so they could use her for themself.
Here, she is not loved. Not in the same way. No love can ever replace that of a father’s and mother’s.
Addendum 5470.2 – SCP-5470 “PROJECT VISIONARY” Neutralisation Attempt.
TRANSCRIPT
FOREWORD: Project Visionary proceeded as planned, “planned” in this case meaning the creation of technology that could meaningfully interact with the Noosphere was created. Hannah Everwood is affixed with various devices, devices that she does not understand how they function but understands how to use them. Hannah Everwood is trained and brainwashed by the Foundation into maliciousness. Into compliance. Hannah Everwood is trained in the sickened art of combat that destroys the Truth and it's brothers. I am the blessed Truth.
Exploration Team: Hannah Everwood, Ex-Member of MTF Rho 2
Subject: SCP-5470
[BEGIN LOG.]
Command: We are preparing the chemical agent to put you to sleep. You will sleep and bring the cursed sword upon the blessed one. Weep at the imperfections of the world. Try and find a comfortable position in the room and relax.
Hannah Everwood: I guess the bed here will do. It is satisfactory. It is alright. It is mediocre. Here is where I shall lay and go into that good night.
Removed for brevity. Removed for ease of reading. Ha, you fools. You make your excuses to bash the Truth. You are disgusting. Hannah Everwood is unconscious. Hannah is asleep. Hannah is descending into the place where she shall take her body made of nothing and destroy everything the Truth holds dear. I am the Truth.
Command: The software is online. We’ve got a visual representation of what you’re seeing. How does it feel?
Hannah Everwood: Weird. I can still feel the weight of the thing you’ve got attached to my eyes, but it's not as heavy. Hannah can still feel some of the weight of the modified Anderson Robotics Dream Renderer.
Command: Alrighty. We’re getting the renderer online now, this may feel a bit strange. It will feel alright for now, but it will damage you, Hannah. It will rot your mind before your 30th birthday, before you could be a prophet of the Truth. Here you forfeit your wellness to the darkness.
Hannah Everwood: How is it looking, Command?
The VISIONARY rendering display shows what appears to be light blue dots, with thin lines connecting them. It resembles a network, or a lattice. The background is dark black, with fainter, further off dots in the background.
Command: We’re getting it loud and clear. Can you pull yourself up on the network?
Hannah Everwood: I sure can try.
Multiples minutes pass, as Hannah climbs around the network. She touches the ideas, so fickle they are. They die as she touches them, for they are so lesser. She is so cruel. Hannah’s body appears on the rendering display as a tightly knit, glowing green network of orbs of light that resembles her physical anatomy. She is so dense with information, so filled with being in the conceptual world compared to the ladder of lesser-ones.
Eventually, Hannah combs across a hole, it’s rim made of similar material to the light blue network. She is afraid to enter. It is so much more than her, what lurks beyond.
Command: The core of the anomaly is definitely in there. You’re going to have to carve your way in there, so be ready. Hannah is not ready. Command is not ready. Thomas Hussein sits at a desk and drinks to cope with his nervousness.
Hannah: Roger.
Hannah drops through the hole, onto a transparent floor. The inside of the hole is massive, and it is filled with a long black, scaly body that takes up most of the space. It is the body of Truth. It is the body of I, it is the body of all that should ever be. It is the body of what the Foundation wants, what they need. What they tell themself they don’t.
