Item#: SCP-4252
Object Class: Euclid
Special Containment Procedures: SCP-4252 must be kept in it's current cell at all times. The cell must not be opened for any reason otherthan if 4252 manages to escape.
Description: SCP-4252 (nicknamed Darkness by several foundation researchers) is a room (9x12) that is extremely dark. Lights don't seem to affect the darkness in the room. Night vision also seems to be inefficient. The darkness in the room could have it's own conciousness as it has tried escaping the room multiple times while not being surveyed. A few D-Class personnel have been put in the room with no reaction from SCP-4252, however the D-Class personnel have shown signs of paranoia, fear and nausea while in the room after a certain amount of time. On one incident with 4252 the D-Class sent into the room could not be retrieved back after 20 minutes of exposure to the darkness. It seemed like they had vanished into the room.
While the room is completely dark it is likely the room is not actually apart of SCP-4252. It is possible that if it ever were to break out of containment it would cover as much of the area it got to as possible. It has not communicated with Foundation staff and has not shown other signs of intellect other than escape attempts.
SCP-4252 is to be kept as far away from other SCPs as possible as it is currently unknown how it would react with other anomalies as itself.
Experiment #462-4C:Experiment #462-4C included projecting multiple spotlights into the room by several D-Class personnel. The room did not light up. After 4 minutes and 22 seconds the lights went out for an unknown reason. 2 of the D-Class personnel got out from the room while the 3rd one could not be retrieved. While in the room they were observed to start panicking after 10 minutes of exposure. After the first 15 minutes had passed the D-Class was screaming and vomiting all over the window they were observed at. After 20 minutes of exposure the D-Class seemed to be pulled into the center of the room. The D-Class was not seen after.
Experiment #462-4D:A D-Class personnel was sent into the room for further studies. As the doors to the room were opened the D-Class immediately showed signs of fear and panic. They were retrieved from the room 2 minutes after exposure. Subject recieved permanent trauma from SCP-4252 and is no longer able to preform tasks for the Foundation.
Dr. ████: Now when entering the room try not to stress or panic. Make your way through it and come to the window on the other side. Then tell us how you are feeling. Simple enough.
D-Class: And I will be fine?
Dr. ████: Yes. You have no reason to worry. Now go.
A facility guard would then proceed to push the D-Class into the room.
As entering the D-Class suddenly started hyperventilating and screaming. He ran to the window asking for help while the Doctors studied his reaction.
