SCP-XXXX where it was found
Item #: XXXX
Object Class: Safe Euclid Safe
Special Containment Procedures: SCP-XXXX is to be contained at least ten (10) meters from any electrical or metal devices. A control room can be found on one side of the room, containing windows and cameras to view the object. All four walls of the room are lined with ten (10) spotlights each. The spotlights point towards the center of the room where SCP-XXXX resides. These spotlights are fifteen (15) meters from SCP-XXXX.
Description: SCP-XXXX was found in an abandoned building in ██████████, Indiana. SCP-XXXX is a wooden folding chair, with a leather seat supported by the chair’s legs. The back of the chair represents metal bars, and humans who have sat in the chair report resting their back was “quite uncomfortable.” The chair’s overall appearance resembles an old, unpolished wooden chair.
If any human is seated in the chair for over one minute, the human will lose consciousness. Five (5) seconds after the human loses consciousness, any light revealing SCP-XXXX will be blocked, and any electronics within ten (10) meters of SCP-XXXX will be destroyed beyond repair. Scientists refer to this as the “blackout.” Scientists Dr. ███ and Dr. █████ (along with other personnel who have firsthand witnessed this phenomena) report that during the “blackout” period, they could not physically move. Ten (10) seconds after the lights go off, they will turn back on. When the lights come back on, the human in the chair will be missing. Any metal that was on the human’s body (braces, hip replacements, etc.) will be left on the chair clean and unharmed. Class D humans who have been seated on SCP-XXXX for over one minute report being transported to a hallway upon waking up. The hallway has white carpet and blue wallpaper. There are no doors or vents in the hallway. All D Class personnel instructed to stay in the chair the whole time have returned safely, reappearing in the chair after a second “blackout” period. All D Class personnel instructed to stand up from the chair in the hallway have not returned and are currently missing/dead. Experiments have concluded that if two living humans are in the hallway simultaneously, both of them will die. This makes rescue from the hallway impossible.
