Special Containment Procedures: SCP-XXXX is contained within Provisional Area-XXX in █████ County, Utah, as its relocation has been deemed to pose an unnecessary danger to nearby population centers and Foundation personnel. All on-site personnel must remain outside a XXX meter radius of SCP-XXXX to ensure they remain outside the object's anomalous area of effect.
Provisional Area-XXX is to be officially referred to as part of its own "Legal Jurisdiction" within the Foundation and must maintain its own set of laws and punishments for the violation of said laws, all of which must be separate from the Foundation's as to mitigate the anomalous effects of the object and their possible negative impact on the nearby population.
Description: SCP-XXXX is a 2.X meter tall concrete sculpture in modernist style of a sitting blindfolded figure representing Lady Justice holding a sword on her lap. An inscription can be seen on the back of the cement block the sculpture is sitting reading "Justice is Blind"
SCP-XXXX manifests its anomalous properties when a subject who has infringed the laws of the local legal jurisdiction enters within a XXX meter radius of the object. As soon as the subject is within this radius they will experience the most severe form of punishment as defined by the jurisdiction's laws. Most of the time, the punishment is death, but testing has proven that SCP-XXXX's anomalous effects can inflict rather minor punishment on subjects if it's described in law as the most severe. SCP-XXXX has been shown to apply punishment on crimes committed in the far past, even those committed prior to changes in the law (see Test Log 1).
When SCP-XXXX inflicts non-lethal punishment upon a subject the effects can be both physical and psychological. Subjects exposed to SCP-XXXX's effects when the most severe form of punishment was changed to "Life Imprisonment" during testing entered a catatonic mental state and then proceeded to lock themselves inside the nearest available empty room, refusing to remove themselves from the area and behaving incoherently until terminated as per protocol.
