Special Containment Procedures: SCP-4184 is to be contained to be contained within a class B humanoid containment suite with the following modifications. Ceiling raised to accommodate a 10 foot Abies Balsamea (American Balsam Fir), decorated with commercial Christmas decorations. Empty cardboard prop boxes wrapped up like Christmas presents, an electric fireplace with log facsimiles. Furthermore, the adjacent suite should be connected via a connecting wall and a door and made to fit four additional people comfortably and up to six people, with a retractable fence on the far side of the room that can be lowered remotely from the observation post.

Under no circumstances is SCP-4184 to have access to a calendar or any technology that has access to the current calendar date aside from testing purposes. Any individuals that are found to give SCP-4184 will be reprimanded per foundation protocol for activating an SCP outside of testing. All personnel not directly involved with ongoing testing should keep 300 meters away as any closer risk them being caught in SCP-4184’s sphere of influence. Along with that line, to prevent a potentially infinite recursion loop. Any personnel entering SCP-4184’s containment suite is to be tethered pulley system outside the zone of influence in case of emergencies. All other personnel should report to the remote observation post for the duration of the test.

Field agents are to be placed in cities and towns surrounding Site-6 in case of containment breach. For further details consult incident report 4184-D5174. Following this incident, all Class D Personnel selected for tested are to be fitted with Tetrodotoxin collars and terminated if they request certain forbidden things from SCP-4184, for a list of forbidden things consul the Site director. Additionally, following incident 4184-D68158 Class D’s are to be screened and no Class D with a history of sexual crimes especially against children are to be used in testing except in emergency circumstances. Moreover, personnel below level 2 are required to get written or verbal permission from a level 3 researcher familiar with SCP-4184’s properties before entering her containment suite, for more information consult incident report 4184-L0J

In the case of Emergencies, it is authorized to use sedatives to induce a coma on SCP-4184 to end its effect and contain it within a comatose state until such a time that the order is given to allow SCP-4184 to stir.

Description:

SCP-4184 appears to be a young girl of Scandinavian descent who seems to be in it’s mid-teens (although this is known to fluctuate. Based on birth records her actual age is ██.) With an average height and build, with the only deviation from standard humans being slightly pointed ears. It is unknown currently whether this was a deliberate body modification, congenital disability or part of its anomalous effects.

SCP-4184 has four catalogued anomalous effects, although the latter could be classified as many anomalous effects all revolving around the giving of gifts, during the holiday Christmas. First, if SCP-4184 knows the date, and that Christmas is not nearby, she generates a spherical zone with a 300-meter radius centered around SCP-4184. Any beings within this sphere are incapable of leaving it, falling unconscious if they attempt to. Beings who sleep inside the sphere believe that it is Christmas and that SCP-4184 is hosting a Christmas party. The only known way to date of ending this state and moving SCP-4184 into an inactive state is for all those subjected to the area to be forcibly dragged out via external stimuli, or death. It is theorized that if a subject had no genuine want for anything that the effect would end, but this theory has yet to be proven. Second, SCP-4184 can manifest objects in the form of Christmas gifts upon request. The range of objects is seemingly endless and is not bound to things that can fit in your standard Christmas box. This can include various anomalous effects such documented effects include the power of flight, reversing or accelerating it’s age or the age of subjects and [DATA EXPUNGED] Although effects like this seem to fade roughly 24 hours after leaving SCP-4184’s sphere of influence.
Third, SCP-4184 can “take” gifts from a person if no gift is provided for her after it fulfills a request. This can be a simple as the shirt off someone’s back, to vital organs. Replacing the object in question with a gift box. Finally, it seems that just simply refusing to take a gift is not enough. SCP-4184 seems to be able to read what people want and gives it to them if not request is made outright.

Because of the nature of SCP-4184’s abilities, simply leaving it alone is not enough, a concerted effort to fool, or otherwise incapacitate SCP-4184 should be made in order to prevent spontaneous activation of it’s effects, and any interaction with SCP-4184 should be done with extreme caution.

SCP-4184 was brought to the attention of the foundation on 01/02/████ In the city of ██████, Canada after reports of several missing persons who failed to return from a Christmas party. When the foundation arrived SCP-4184 was found sleeping on a pile of cardboard boxes, all of the guests of the party were found dead. Autopsies revealed the cause of death of those inside the home to be [REDACTED] Those outside the home had died to do [REDACTED]

Date: 01/6/20██
Subjects: Two Class D personnel, one male (A), one female (B)

Subjects were given fourteen days of food, water and items based on the list of effects SCP-4184 requested wrapped up to appear as Christmas presents. Subjects also were given radios to maintain contact with the remote observation team. Via an installed speaker in SCP-4184’s containment suite that Christmas was over ten months’ away. Its response was as follows: “I don’t like that, why don’t I just throw a Christmas party now?” From that point forward the Sphere of Influence was considered active. Subjects A and B were instructed to enter SCP-4184’s containment suite. SCP-4184 had prepared a variety of holiday foodstuffs, how she did so without access to a kitchen is unclear recordings of her containment chair sees her pulling them out of prop Christmas boxes left in her room. SCP-4184 spends time conversing with Subjects, they share a meal and proceed to “exchange presents” which proceeds as follows:

SCP-4184 proceeds to pull a prop Christmas box from the tree, the box was confirmed to be empty before testing. Inside the box is a set of keys to the vehicle in question. Inspection of Site parking lot confirms that a ███████ brand luxury sparks car manifested in the parking lot, complete with novelty bow.

4184: Now it’s your turn, did you bring me anything?

Subject A proceeds to pull out a board game. SCP-4184 described as looking “elated” before turning to Subject B and repeating the process. Subject B requests “A downy pillow for my cell” Similar to Subject A SCP-4184 pulls out a prop Christmas box which was confirmed empty before testing and when Subject B opens the box, a high-quality downy pillow, complete with silk pillowcase is produced from the box. Subject B produced a Christmas sweater for SCP-4184 and then it proceeds to offer Subjects stay the night. Subjects ordered to accept the offer. Testing to resume tomorrow morning.

Date: 01/7/20██
Subjects: Two Class D personnel, one male (A), one female (B)

Subjects proceed to awaken from the prepared adjacent test chamber and enter SCP-4184’s containment suite. Food prepared is identical to the menu from the previous day. Subjects asked how much time has elapsed since testing began. Subject A responds: “What are you talking about? It’s ████████████ Christmas party.” The test proceeds almost the same as the previous day. The request has changed, however. Subject A requests a journal and set of pens. SCP-4184 grants request. SCP-4184 request “The Original Christmas Classics Collection” which had been prepared and is given. Subject B request “A designer jumpsuit” a new jumpsuit made of what appears to be high-quality satin is produced. 4184 request a television, Television was prepared ahead of time and placed in the adjacent suite. Subjects and SCP-4184 proceed to watch Christmas specials when 4184 requests subjects to stay the night. Subjects ordered to refuse. Subjects comply and make an excuse to leave. Subjects make it one hundred meters outside the SOI before collapsing to the ground, asleep. No amount of rousing, even the threat of termination seems to wake them. The test concluded for the day.

Date: 01/8/20██
Subjects: Two Class D personnel, one male (A), one female (B)

Subjects awaken around 7:00 am and walk inside of SCP-4184’s containment suite. When asked how many days just past Subject A Responds: “Didn’t you just send us in here?” The test proceeds the same as test 001-2 Unless the request is pertinent to testing results will be excluded from the testing log. For please consult manifest 4184-G1 and 4184-G2 for items given, and received by SCP-4184. Subjects told to stay the night but try and sneak out while SCP-4184 is sleeping. Subjects comply, collapse one hundred meters from containment suite.

Frustrated, Agent █████ enters the SOI and tries to pull subjects out of SOI. All three subjects collapse 200 meters from containment suite. Given what is known about SCP-4184’s anomalous effect Agent █████ is classified Subject C for the remainder of the test.

All three subjects awaken the following morning and enter SCP-4184’s containment suite. Subject C asked why he is there. Subject C responds: “I was invited to ████████████ Christmas Party” Test proceeds as usual. Subject B provides Subject C a gift to give 4184. Subject C asked to request permission to leave. Subject complies. 4184 the proceeds to produce a box of leaves. 4184 proceeds to laugh and test proceeds as usual.

Subjects: Two Class D personnel, one male (A), one female (B), Agent █████ (C)

After repeated attempts to have SCP-4184 release subjects from SOI, control concludes that the best method at current to end 4184’s anomalous effects safely is for a tether to be placed outside SCP-4184’s area of effect and subjects forcibly dragged out. After requisitioning a tether and pulley system Agent ███ sent into SOI, where he ties Subjects to tether and all forcibly dragged out. SCP-4184 shown actively trying to resist attempt, and ask, begs subjects to request her to stop them. Subjects told to deny the request and all three extracted safely. Test concluded. All items confiscated

Researchers Notes: Thank god, SCP-4184 may seem innocuous at first, but whatever effect it has on the mind is powerful, and it seems no amount of pleading or request can satisfy it. I’m going to request a tether and pulley, and maybe even a false wall be installed for future testing. – Dr. ██████

Date: 3/7/20██
Subjects: Three Class D personnel, Two male (Subjects A & B), and one female (Subject C)

Subjects were given fourteen days of provisions, but for this test they were only given one gift, which served as the control before testing many of the items assigned to SCP-4184 during the previous experiment were confiscated to see if mood had any effect of the test and to prevent the containment suite from becoming cluttered. Despite foul mood of 4184, control test (4184-002-1) was nearly identical to test 001-1. Subjects were requested to stay the night. After subjects received their gifts, subjects had nothing to give SCP-4184 in return. SCP-4184 then proceeds to request Subjects instead. Subject A requested to give undershirt. Subject complies, removing his overshirt and handing SCP-4184 his white undershirt. 4184 then ask for Subject B’s shoes. Subject B met and removes shoes. Subject C is requested to remove her bra. Subject C refuses to do so in front of Subject’s A & B. SCP-4184 agrees to go into the next suite where Subject then complies. Test then proceeds as with subjects staying the night.

Date: 3/11/20██
Subjects: Three Class D personnel, Two male (Subjects A & B), and one female (Subject C)

All three subjects are in various means of undress. Subject A & B both only wearing underwear and socks, subject C remains clothed but barefoot, with both her undergarments being removed in the previous test. Subject A request “a pair of pants” from SCP-4184. SCP-4184 produces a box containing a pair of brand-new designer jeans, in Subjects size. Subject B follows suit to the same result. Subject C request a new bra and is given one. SCP-4184 then proceeds to request items like how it has so far, but it does not request for items that it has given to subjects, despite subjects offering them. SCP-4184 recorded as saying “Regifting is such a rude thing to do you know,” and proceeds to take Subject A’s socks, and Subject B’s underwear. SCP-4184 request shirt from Subject C, who refuses to undress in front of male subjects. SCP-4184 recorded as saying “That’s ok, your nails are much prettier, especially after that nail polish I gave you,” A gift box then manifest around both SCP-4184’s hands and Subject C’s hands. SCP-4184 proceeds to tear the box open with her teeth. Subject C heard screaming. When 4184 is finished Subject C’s fingernails appear to have replaced its fingernails. Subject C cries and request Subject B remove box from her hands. Subject B complies, Subject C’s hands are bloody, and nails are raw, having been removed.

Subject C screams and runs out of the room collapses 100 meters away. Subjects A & B follow shortly after and also collapse. Subject C, D35981 convicted of the murder of her wife and children is dragged out of SOI by the research team and terminated.

Date: 3/11/20██
Subjects: Two Class D personnel, two males (Subject A & B)

Subjects have been stripped of all items originally on their person. Although both subjects requested clothing from SCP-4184 so are dressed in designer outfits. Both subjects beg to be pulled outside SCP-4184’s SOI. Request denied. Subject B offers to shave his head bald for SCP-4184, who has knitted various holiday items out of Subjects clothing. SCP-4184 agrees and gives Subject B electric razor. Subject proceeds to shave head. Subject A, already bald has no items to provide. SCP-4184 mentions how beautiful Subject A’s eyes are. Visibly terrified, he offers his appendix instead. SCP-4184 agrees, and manifest a box, inside of which is an appendix, visibly moist. The subject immediately complains around abdominal pain and retires to the adjacent suite for the night.

Subject A declared dead that night and dragged out of the SOI. An autopsy revealed that the cause of death was internal bleeding following a ruptured large intestine. A Christmas box was discovered in the location of subject’s appendix.

Date: 3/12/20██
Subjects: One Class D Personnel (Subject B)

Subject pleads with observation team to end the test. Request denied. Subject proceeds to request a standard issue Beretta, fully loaded from SCP-4184. SCP-4184 grants request, but before she can make a request Subject B points the gun at SCP-4184 and demands that she let him out of this “Christmas from hell” SCP-4184 looks visibly upset and is recorded saying “After I’ve given you everything you wanted, you’re going to be this rude? Well, I was going to ask just a pinky but if you’re going to be mean.” Manifest on subjects’ entire right hand before sliding to the ground, taking the entire hand, wrist, and part of the lower forearm with it. Subject dragged out of SOI by control but before termination was pronounced dead from blood loss. Test concluded.

Incident Report: 4184-D5174
Date: 12/19/20██

Incident Occurred during routine testing of SCP-4184’s ability to manifest intangible objects or concepts. During the test D5174 went against testing protocol and requested “Freedom” SCP-4184 is recording as saying “Yeah, I kind of wish for that too, how about we share this one?” Upon receiving his gift box and opening it, there was, what can only be described as a “flash of white light” and both SCP-4184 and D5174 were gone.

After confirming the Sphere of Influence was gone (having the remaining Class D exit the perimeter, who was promptly terminated for fear of spreading the news to other Class D personnel) a lockdown and sweep of the site were performed. When neither SCP-4184 or D5174 were located MTF-Sigma 9 “The Carolers” were dispatched through the surrounding cities around Site-6-03. Subjects were detained together in █████, France trying to cross the border into ███████. SCP-4184 was returned to containment are emergency protocols were activated, leaving her in a comatose state for the remainder of the month.

Before termination D5174 was interrogated and was asked how he managed to convince SCP-4184 from activating her anomalous effect. D5174 claims that he didn’t have to do anything. SCP-4184 saw the date and said she wanted to return “home” before Christmas. The subject did not inquire where “home” was.

The subject was promptly terminated because no anomalous effects were recorded during this time the use of amenstics against those who saw SCP-4184 during the containment breach was deemed unnecessary.

A list of concepts and items were given to Site director from the O5 Council following the containment breach which includes any term that can be interpreted by SCP-4184 as a means of escape.

Incident Report: 4184-D68158
Date: 03/12/20██

The incident occurred during the fourth round of testing around SCP-4148, testing what would happen if the subject refused to make a request. There was three Class D personnel involved during the test. D68158, a violent sex offender serving multiple life sentences, D60144 a female test subject on death row for the murder of her husband and mistress, and D56600 a mass shooter sentenced to death.

Testing occurred as normal. D56600 refused to give a present, but SCP-4184 looked at him and laughed, and is recorded as saying “You want me to give you another SCP don’t you?” Subject looked agape and scared, but testing continued. 4184 then ask: which one? D56600 responds, in notedly joking matter SCP-1225 (Note: D56600 has no knowledge of SCP-1225, and it is assumed that D56600 named this one as a joke) SCP-4184 stares at D56600 and says “No” before moving on, this is the first time it has refused to fulfill a request.

D60144 was next, per testing protocol she refused to make a request. SCP-4184 then produced a small box from the prop boxes. Inside was a cell phone. 4184 recorded as saying “But you’ve always wanted to talk to your son right? (Note: D60144 had a six-month-old son at the time of her arrest, at the time of report he would have been ██ years of age.) D60144 was immediately pulled out of the SOI by observation team through the false wall, the phone was confiscated, destroyed and D60144 was terminated for breach of secrecy. Field agents were dispatched to locate the son, and he was administered Class B amnestics.
Third was D68158 as testing protocol demanded, he refused to request anything. SCP-4184 then walked behind the tree and walked out visibly much younger, her appearance has changed to a young girl, facial recognition scans found her to be ██████ a previous victim of D68158, and the way she was dressed suggested inappropriate behavior, such that against protocol Agent ██████ forced D68158 out of the SOI and D68158 was terminated.

Following incident reports, all D Class personnel are to be screened, and those with sexual crimes or known family are not to be allowed to test. SCP objects were also placed on the list of the things that one may not request during testing.

Incident Report: 4184-L0J

During a routine cleaning of 4184’s containment suite a custodian mistakenly took SCP-4184, who appeared to be much older than was on file at the time, as a researcher, or other staff and let her leave her containment. The alarm sounded at the time, and security personnel was able to apprehend her quickly with no incident.
