The footage is a poor quality recording, a program aired on the local TV station titled Quahokee TV. Five people are sitting on fold-out chairs in front of a piece of white cloth. To the right is a small child, maybe ten or eleven years old. To the left are four guys, middle twenties, long hair and black leather jackets.
Ronald: Hello.. hey.. This is Ronald Bukowski from Quahokee TV and the Quahokee Primary School Student Paper.. and.. no, not from, for Quahokee TV.. but still the paper also. Er…
The young kid pushes his glasses a little bit further up his nose and looks at his notes.
Ronald: I'm here with the rock band Rancid Ricky who've recently released their sixth album. Please, welcome to the stage; Diablo Dave, Raleigh Rampage, Steve the Sunderer and Leonard, together known as Rancid Ricky! Come in and take a seat!
The four men, already seated, look to each other, slightly confused.
Dave Diablo: Cool.. thanks dude. Thanks for having us. Really cool being here and all. I just want to…
Ronald interrupts.
Ronald: So tell me…
Ronald looks a bit flustered, Dave is just about to say something when Ronald starts speaking again.
Ronald: Wha… What's your inspiration for this album?
Dave Diablo: Oh.. I don't know.. like.. Satan and stuff. We're big on that.
Ronald: And how is the album selling?
Dave Diablo sits a bit more upright, looks seriously at Ronald.
Dave Diablo: Oh, this album really hit it big, we've finally made it to the big time. 1200 copies sold in only six weeks, and we've still got some sales coming in.
Ronald: Sales coming in?
Another band member takes the microphone.
Steve the Sunderer: Yeah, my mom brought some of our CDs with her to the fair, to see if she could sell a few.
Dave Diablo takes the microphone back.
Dave Diablo: Not gonna lie, we had some rough years, ya know? Couldn't afford having both groupies and roadies. Only solution was to kinda merge the two, get women along with a certain… bulk.. so they could lug our equipment as well, “Groadies” we called 'em.
Ronald is about to ask something when he gets interrupted by the sound of trashing and crashing somewhere behind the scene. The rock musicians all start looking around for the sound. A number of bloodied humans crash through the wall behind the set, revealing it to be cheap cardboard with a tablecloth covering it. One of the humans appears to have lumberjack axes instead of hands, another has sawed-off shotguns and a third has ice-picks. Ronald ducks and runs out of frame to the side, but the rock band gets caught and the zombies start hacking at them. A fourth zombie appears, with baseball bats instead of hands, and swings at the camera.
Footage cuts out.
