Statistically significant correlative trends have been observed between SCP-XXXX diameter (blue) and global temperature change (black). This has led to the hypothesis that SCP-XXXX may be effected by some phenomenon that govern more classical weather systems. In wake of EVENT ██, this is seen as deeply concerning.

Objective: In light of recent data, it has become apparent that climate change poses an existential threat to SCP-XXXX and by extension mankind. Thus it has been decided to leverage full foundation support into reversing these trends. As introduced by Dr. ████, this will compartmentalize as follows.

Research Group DIADEM has found data indicating SCP-XXXX-B does not possess regenerative capabilities. Instead, SCP-XXXX-B is hypothesized to be a higher dimensional extrusion of an absolute object. While real space disruption of SCP-XXXX-B may occur, reformation is inevitable so long as higher dimensional source persists. At this time, no known way of containing or neutralizing said source has been found. Containment of phenomenon SCP-XXXX-B is only option.
Paracausal nature of SCP-XXXX-B further explains standing questions of implausible creature size, seeming violation of conservation of charge, seeming creation of regenerative mass. Observation of SCP-XXXX implies similar paracausal properties, analysis pending.

To summarize for those reviewing this, until other sections are filled, SCP-XXXX consists of 2 parts. SCP-XXXX which will be publicly listed, is a large, year round, lightning storm encompassing a mountainous island in the pacific.
SCP-XXXX-B is an XK-Class monster contained by the storm with regenerative abilities only inhibited by lightning. Thus containment procedure is focused on protection, isolation, and continuation of SCP-XXXX.
Of particular note is PROJECT-HUNDREDTH HAND, a project to counter climate change through a massive foundation led effort due to factually based concerns of the impact that changing weather conditions may have on SCP-XXXX and the containment it provides.

Containment Procedure section for SCP-XXXX should imply, first and foremost, a concept of something more. The seemingly excessive procedures involving nuclear force, the secrecy around the location of the island, even from foundation personnel, the careful compartmentalization of information, should all raise questions as to what makes all of this so necessary, for effectively a bunch of lightning.
The secondary goal of containment procedures should be to express the great difficulty that exists in containing and isolating a geological weather phenomenon. Hiding a normal island is hard, hiding an island as obvious as this one even more so.
Third, it should introduce the reader to the style the rest of the article will follow, does the terminology flow well and stay consistent? does it give little pieces of things that will appear later to form a cohesive narrative?
Description
This is where the audience is given false expectation. The island is laid out as simply a bunch of lightning. The procedures are made to seem as though traditional foundation paranoia. The immense threat…downplayed. Mention will be made casually to the relation between the lightning and global warming.
A section requiring LEVEL 3 clearance is added indicating that SCP-XXXX-B Appears when SCP-XXXX ceases. Information at this point makes liberal use of data redacted and data expunged. This was observed to happen following EVENT ██.

This is where the narrative comes to life.
It will begin with a memo to be given to members of PROTOCOL-FIVE TIRESIAS, outlining exactly how often they will be having their memories wiped, and what the punishments for not following this will be. Rooms bordering on being isolation chambers will be outlined that provide no sense of outside or location between shifts. It will be made clear that this briefing and days socializing with shift personnel in isolation will be the only memories.
The actual instruction set for 5 TIRESIAS is given, outlined in a way to explain instructions to people that do the same thing every day, but have no memory of it. This will seem to be your first time following these instructions. It is not. You will feel as though you have an intuitive sense of how to perform your duties. This is a result of procedural memory training, use it to execute duties properly. You will spend 3 days active, one as relearning, one fulfilling duties, one training crew. It will then outline data collection duties for hundredth hand involving temperature measurements and weather surveying.
Progressive elaboration of PROJECT-HUNDREDTH HAND gives an idea of exactly how many resources the foundation has committed to containing SCP-XXXX-B with active plans to launch a mirror to reduce the light reaching earth and the nightmare that would be to cover up being MORE ACCEPTABLE that cessation of SCP-XXXX.
