Display of SCP-6088
Item #: SCP-6088
Object Class: Euclid
Special Containment Procedures: [All documents pertaining to SCP-6088 are to be restricted access to all but the 05-Council and those with the Council’s direct written consent’ to be signed by no less than 4 members. SCP-6088 is to be contained at Site-76, in a high security object containment cell. Guards are to be posted at all times, and no personnel are to enter the chamber except for testing purposes. Object is to be contained in a 0.5x0.5x0.5m titanium cube, with 5cm thick walls. The box is to be locked with a bio-mechanical lock, (Salivary, Retinal, and Fingerprint) accessible only by level 4 researchers 05-Command. All handling is done to be done with leather gloves of any make, unless being used for testing purposes.]
Description: [SCP-6088 is a 45cm long knife, with the blade carved from a large bone of an unknown creature. The hilt appears to be made of crudely chiseled gray quartzite. The handle is wrapped in black hide taken from a common Longhorn Bull. The pommel of the knife is also bone, sharpened in the shape of an arrowhead, or possibly a javelin head.
When held by a human, the wielder exhibits a surge of intense anger toward a random object within a 50-meter radial view of the wielder. The object must be in full view for the item to be targeted. The wielder follows a small ritual, only if they've been instructed on how to use it, to activate the objects anomalous abilities. The wielder exhibits knowledge of the name of it's target, whether they are called by another common name, or alias. This extends to living creatures as well, human or animal. The user becomes unable to recognize commands given after the physical touching of the knife, and must be told how to use it beforehand (see addendum). The holder stabs their open palm on the sharpened pommel, and says, or rather, shouts the name of the object. The wielder is not given any information as to what will happen. Upon following the command, the blade becomes wreathed in black flames, and the item being “targeted” will instantly vanish. Testing shows no evidence of portals or rifts being opened, and thermal testing and chemical analysis of the empty space and surrounding area shows no trace of any transformation into energy or another form of matter.
SCP-6088 appears to have a limit on the size of the object being displaced. The knife has been observed to have a limit of 1 cubic meter, (see addendum) going as far as to remove only that much mass of the object. Anything larger has that mass removed from its being, even removing parts of objects as opposed to the entire object. The weight, material, density, and temperature of the item appears to be of no consequence to the object. During testing, this had led to some interesting, if not occasionally disturbing, results.
SCP-6088 was recovered by an un undercover field agent in [REDACTED], Mississippi. Upon hearing reports of various missing objects around the town, even ones that would be difficult to move by a construction crew. After investigating these rumors, the agent followed the trail to a burned-out brick building, apparently an old police station. The front of the building had large chunks of the front missing, but it struck it strange that the holes appeared to be smooth, as opposed to crumbling that would be expected of age. The agent entered the building and pulled out his Foundation standard issued sidearm. As he came to the holding cell, he heard a shuffle, and then heard stuttering. There was a man in the cell, wearing hooded robes. He appeared to be trying to say something but could not form the words properly. He raised the knife and black flames began to flow off of the blade. The agent, startled, fire 2 shots into the man’s chest, and he dropped the knife. The man fell to the floor n wounded but not fatally. The agent tore a strip of cloth off the bottom of his shirt and picked up the object. The item was brought into Foundation custody and designated SCP-6088. The man who attacked the agent was also brought in, but for interrogation.
After some rather… unpleasant interrogation methods were implemented, the man reveal that he was part of the Serpent’s Hand. He told the personnel that ritualistic instructions for creating various destructive anomalies hand been discovered upon the shelves of the Wanderers Library, and then began to laugh. He described in detail the many experiments it took to create the knife. He stated that they had sacrificed dozens of humans and animals to create the object, spilling as much blood as necessary to create the desired effect. Further pushing brought the man to explain its function, and the man slowly became more hysterical as the questions continued, eventually reaching the point he could not speak due to laughter. After a few minutes, the man told them how it worked, and all the gory details involved in its creation. With a large smile on his face, he said, “This is your end, and all the worlds with it. He then died on the spot. Autopsy showed he had a hollow tooth capsule filled with cyanide; in case they were captured. It is unknown why the man had not used it earlier, but it’s theorized that his weak grasp on sanity caused him to either have a lapse in memory, or that he may have simply wanted to gloat of their creation.
05-6: From what The Serpents Hand cultist told us,, the SCP appears to completely remove the matter from existence, breaking the fundamental laws of physics, assuming the individual was telling the truth. If this is true, I dread to see what this thing could do in the wrong hands.]
Addendum: [Addendum 1: Research test 6 shows that the wielder can be given commands under enough sedatives, but as of the end of said test, no further tests are allowed as of command by 05.
Addendum 2: The object ability to remove matter has grown stronger with each use. As of Test 6, the object has been capable of removing up to a mass of 3.5m3.
Notes: Dr. Bright has requested access to SCP-6088. When asked why, he refused to give a straight answer, only sayin he, “wanted to see what would happen.” Request denied.
05-4: Under NO circumstances is Dr. Bright allowed to be given access to this SCP. Any personnel found to assist Dr. Bright in obtaining the object will be terminated.

Test 1 - XX/21
Subject: D-Class D=4903, a tall black-haired Caucasian male convicted for multiple arson attempts, culminating in the deaths of [REDACTED] individuals.:
Procedure: D-4903 was placed in the testing chamber with a small table, topped with a glass bowl, and a glass vase. SCP=6088 was placed on the table, and the subject was told to pick up the knife, to focus on an object and then state the targets name. D=4903 picked up the knife, and immediately started showing extreme levels of anger. After approximately 4 seconds, D=4903 pierced his palm on the pommel of SCP=6088 and shouted "Table!". The table instantly vanished, causing the bowl and vase to fall to the floor. Security entered and retrieved the item from D=4903. :
**Results: The table instantly vanished, causing the bowl and vase to fall to the floor. Security entered and retrieved the item from D=4903. **
While the table was not intended to be a target, the test does show thait its forward most ability was not the black flames, but instead its ability to displace matter.:
[[fFurther testing is required to determine the extent on this anomalous effect. ]]
Test 2 - XX/21
Subject: D-class 1102 A bald Russian female, imprisoned for the murder of her family. .
Procedure: D-1102 was placed in testing chamber with SCP-6088 laid on a granite block measuring 75 cm3 . No other objects were set in the room. D-class was instructed to pick up the knife and was given the same instructions as given in Test 1. She did so, and immediately became enraged. After 4 seconds, she shouted "Block!" Security then retrieved the knife.
Results: The entire block of granite vanished.
Analysis: The stone weighed approximately 1.5 tons. There may not be a limit to the weight of its effected target.
Test 3 - Date XX/21
Subject: D-class D=4903
Procedure:D-4903 was used again for this test. The subject was once again placed in testing chamber, this time with a large block of floral foam, measuring 3mX3mX2m. SCP-6088 was laid on the ground. Subject was told to once again pick up the knife, and once again given the instruction on how to use it. He did, and after showing the same aggression as the previous test. After 4 seconds, the Subject shouted "Foam!" The standard effect took hold, with some interesting differences. Security retried the object.
Results: A 1m3 section of the foam block disappeared, leaving the rest behind. It is noted that the removed space is perfectly cube shaped, and the remaining foam shows no tool marks.
Analysis: It appears that SCP-6088 has a limit to the size of matter that can be effected. Also noted that D-4903 showed enthusiasm at testing the object again.
Test 4 - Date XX/21
Subject: D-class D-6201, a Caucasian female arrested for attempted infiltration of U.S. Government facility [REDACTED]
Procedure: Subject was placed in testing chamber with SCP-6088 and a box measuring 0.75cm3containing 14 specimens of Rattus norvegicus, or the common lab rat. Subject had no knowledge of the rats, only capable of seeing the box, which had been taped closed. Subject was instructed to pick up the knife and told the now standard instruction. The expected hostility toward the object appeared as normal, and the subject waited for the 4 second mark before Screaming "Box!". Item was removed from testing chamber as standard.
Results: Both the box and the lab rats vanished.
Analysis: It seems that if object are in the removed objects internal mass, the objects are also removed. It is also noted that the knife is effective on living creatures.
Test 5 - Date XX/21
Subject: D-class D-4903, and SCP=4020
Procedure: D-4903 was once again chosen for this test, ecstatic that he had been chosen again. D-4903 Was placed in chamber across from SCP-4020. SCP-6088 was personally handed to the D-class by security personnel this time, and then security rushed out of the room before the effect could begin. After the regular aggression and 4 second wait, D=4903 was no longer given direction as he told the researchers that he, "Knew what to do". After waiting for the 4 second mark, he yelled "[REDACTED]. The knife was retrieved by standard procedure.
Results: No observable effect.
Analysis: It seems that SCP-6088 is incapable of removing invincible objects, or at least this particular one. I now have a new idea for a research test, I just have to get consent…
Test 6 - Date XX/21
Subject:D-4903
Procedure: Subject once again showed excitement to use SCP-6088. This time though, the Subject was heavily sedated, using a combination of Melatonin and common over the counter allergy medication. The subject was also administered 10cc of adrenaline by injection. D-4903 was placed in chamber with SCP-6088 laying on the floor. Subject was instructed to pick up the knife and focus solely on the object. D-4903 did as instructed, and began to scowl, but otherwise showed no anger. After 7 seconds the subject exclaimed "[REDACTED] Remaining personnel retrieved the object.
Results: [DATA EXPUNGED]
Analysis: Thank god I stepped out to get coffee. I do feel bad about Jr. Researcher Cann, though. Aside from him we lost quite a few good men.1
