SCP-XXXX

Recovered self-portrait of SCP-XXXX.

Item #: SCP-XXXX

Object Class: Euclid - Pending Neutralized states.

Special Containment Procedures: SCP-XXXX is to be kept in a standard humanoid containment cell. Any form of a request made by SCP-XXXX is to be reviewed as fast as possible.

Twice a week, Dr. Barrett L. is to visit SCP-XXXX in Its cell for physical and neurological evaluation, and its condition is to be reported to Head Researcher Dr. Alex E.

As per the Ethics Committee's request, SCP-XXXX is allowed to freely roam the Site-██ facility only with a lightly armed guard always accompanying it for assistance, protection, and surveillance.

(On 19/10/198█, the Special Containment Procedure has been updated to include the following paragraph due to SCP-XXXX’s declining health.)

Due to SCP-XXXX’s current condition, Dr. Alex, Dr. Barrett, and their staff are permitted access to SCP-XXXX's containment chamber for research purposes, equipment maintenance, and health monitoring.

Description: SCP-XXXX is a 60-year-old Caucasian male of Polish descent named “Igor Hubert”.

At the age of 10, SCP-XXXX recalls seeing a “strange entity” in a dream, which substantiates to have provided it with its anomalous properties. SCP-XXXX has the ability to automatically view or alter the subject's memories upon direct ocular contact. Due to this automation, SCP-XXXX often wears a pair of sunglasses to obscure direct eye contact and, in general, doesn't roam around in public without them. In addition, it seems that SCP-XXXX can suffer from severe headaches or even temporary short-term amnesia every time it utilizes its anomalous properties. Though uncertain, SCP-XXXX claims that these effects seem to increase in severity the older it gets. However, physical and neurological examinations have proven that these effects are primarily due to its old age and long-term use of its ability resulting in neurological pressure—something SCP-XXXX's body can remotely handle at this age. (for more information, see Addendum XXXX.)

It was initially hypothesized that SCP-XXXX has precognitive mind-reading abilities. However, Tests has confuted this hypothesis and suggested a possible thaumaturgic nature instead. The process of how SCP-XXXX's anomalous properties precisely work is as of yet unknown.

In terms of personality, SCP-XXXX is described by staff as benevolent and agreeable. As SCP-XXXX would frequently dedicate some of its time to converse with staff members, hear their quandaries in life and suggest solutions to said quandaries. Staff members equally describe SCP-XXXX as sometimes being dramatic or overly exaggerated in some of its expressions. Though sometimes staff finds it as a frustrating, yet an enduring, feature of SCP-XXXX.

Discovery: SCP-XXXX was discovered in ██████, Florida. in its personal denizen after local reports and rumors about “The World's Best Therapist” between the high-class citizens in the area.

The reports describe how The therapist is capable of treating addiction, PTSD and other similar disorders in only one or two sessions. After a session, SCP-XXXX’s patients report a feeling of mental peace—though they don’t recall what caused them the disorder in the first place. That let The Foundation launch an investigation on the matter which all lead to the Igor Hubert Manor. After a covert raid on the premises, SCP-XXXX was easily captured and was sent to Site-██.

After further investigation, SCP-XXXX was discovered to be an ex-CIA agent and a former member of the CIA counterintelligence unit “[REDACTED AS PER THE AEGIS CONTRACT]” which is made as a replication to the USSR’s precognitive intelligence unit “Предвестники” (Translation: Harbingers) at the wake of the Cold War—SCP-XXXX was codenamed “Mind Wanderer” during its time in the CIA.

Initially, it was unknown how it managed to elude through the system set in place by The Foundation. But, it later admitted that it knew a doctor who helped it with the paperwork to retire. Apparently, SCP-XXXX already knew about the SCP Foundation through that doctor and SCP-XXXX refuses to reveal the Doctor’s identity as they were friends. As of the time of writing, the Doctor’s identity is yet to be revealed due to the terms of the Aegis Contract. (For more information, see Interview XXXX-1.)
