Special Containment Procedures: SCP-XXXX-A is an area measuring 45 meters in all directions which is completely enclosed in a concrete room with walls measuring 1.5 meters thick. This room is equipped with 4, 1m x 20m bulletproof windows with lead lined steel shutters labeled A-1 to A-4. The adjacent research labs are outfitted with an autonomous light system to account for the photophobic nature of SCP-XXXX. Only light ranging from 520nm to 550nm should be allowed to enter SCP-XXXX-A or SCP-XXXX-B at any time. An armed guard should always be stationed at each of the four heavy steel doors leading to SCP-XXXX in case of an emergency. SCP-XXXX-B is uncontainable due to its undefinable size. No video recording equipment or objects that produce light outside of the acceptable spectrum are allowed within the containment area. See Addendum XXXX-B1-1 for information about SCP-XXXX-B-1.

Description: SCP-XXXX refers to two anomalous locations. These will be labeled as SCP-XXXX-A and SCP-XXXX-B. See Addendum XXXX-B1-1.

SCP-XXXX-A is an area of lush sentient vegetation measuring 45m x 45m x 45m. The vegetation inside of SCP-XXXX-A is extremely diverse, containing flora such as Solanum lycopersicum and Sequoia sempervirens although most species that inhabit the area have been identified as common tropical plants, such as those found in rain forests around the world. There appear to be multiple undiscovered plant species contained within SCP-XXXX-A as well. SCP-XXX-A also has extreme restorative properties. Aging of non-human organisms within SCP-XXXX-A completely stops, and any wounds received while in the area are closed by vine like structures, and bodily functions will return to normal. Healed wounds do not pose a containment threat, as they act as part of the body.

Flora contained within SCP-XXXX-A and SCP-XXXX-B reacts extremely violently when exposed to light that is not within the range of 520nm to 550nm. It will seek out and destroy and light source that it can, along with any organic material it can find. Light outside the visible spectrum of humans triggers no reaction in the vegetation. Any equipment that tries to view SCP-XXXX-A through these non visible spectrums will become overgrown, along with any storage vessel containing visual footage of the area. This overgrowth has a high chance of causing a containment breach, because of this, no footage or any device that once contained footage of SCP-XXXX is allowed to leave the containment area.

In the center of the containment area, hanging from the ceiling, is a mass of mud, dirt, and other sediments with long, vine like structures protruding from it. Every day at 12:00 AM and 12:00 PM water droplets fall from these protrusions, hydrating the plants below. It is unknown where the water comes from, or why the plants need it, due to the restorative nature of the area.

Below this mass of sediment, is a large tunnel, measuring 50m in height and 5m in width. This shaft appears to be extra-dimensional, as it does not appear at the underside of the containment area. At the bottom of the tunnel, there is a large orange tinted slab of rock. The type of rock that makes up this slab is currently unknown. On top of the slab, there is always a dark orange key labeled as “The Gardener’s Key”. This key will always return to it’s original position if left untouched for long periods of time. Placing this key into the keyhole in the center of the slab will cause a spatial anomaly in the shape of a doorway to appear. This doorway leads into SCP-XXXX-B

SCP-XXXX-B is an infinitely large pocket dimension containing the same flora as in SCP-XXXX-A, but is mainly made up of small floating patches of different sediments and rocks. No tests on these materials has shown anything recognizable. SCP-XXXX-B also contains multiple different copies of the stone slab found in SCP-XXXX-A. Thirty five of these formations have been found, but only one key, labeled “The Killer’s Key” has been discovered, to which a keyhole has yet to be located. A low rumble can be heard, which has been reported to make subjects feel uneasy, and say that they “recognise the sound”. Incidentally, the volume of this rumble coincides with massive natural disasters that occur across the world. Loud roaring and other animal-like noises have been heard in the depths of SCP-XXXX-B, and one subject reported to seeing “A massive figure pass below him”.

Addendum XXXX-A1 Due to the restorative properties of SCP-XXXX-A, extensive research is being done on how the vegetation is incorporated into the body.

Incident Reports

Researcher Talin was preparing for end of the day procedures when the shudder motor on window A-4 malfunctioned and cause it to lock. Reddish light flooded SCP-XXXX-A, causing it to go berserk. This incident resulted in the complete abandonment of research lab 4, and the deaths of 16 scientists. The motors on windows A-1 through A-3 are being replaced with high speed servos to ensure safety.]

An increase in the seismic activity of SCP-XXXX-B coincided with a massive earthquake near the Tigirs and Euphrates rivers. This gives information about where it could possibly be located, as mutiple nearby homes were seen falling into SCP-XXXX-B from within.

Addendum XXXX-B1-1 Recent exploration of SCP-XXXX-B has yielded a new key labeled, "The Maniac's Key" When placed into SCP-XXXX-B-1, which is a yellow tinted stone slab, a gateway to SCP-XXXX-B-1A wil open. Any subjects who venture into this space will shortly experience delusional visions, and will proceed to jump off of the platforms and fall into the depths. They expire shortly after this. The few reports we have collected have been of a reddish yellow landscape, covered with bright yellow flames, and a flesh like substance lining the ground. Further experiments with SCP-XXXX-B-1A are prohibited.
