Special Containment Procedures: SCP-XXXX is to be contained in a standard containment chamber and placed under twenty-four hour surveillance. SCP-XXXX is to be fed twenty (20) kilograms of raw meat per day, and given access to a consistent supply of salt water. Staff assigned to SCP-XXXX must ascribe to one or more religious faiths when selected, and are required to denounce their beliefs before working with SCP-XXXX.

Once per month, a single D-Class personnel ascribing to one or more religious faiths is to be introduced into SCP-XXXX’s chamber, where Procedure 047-Abramelin will be carried out.

Description: SCP-XXXX is an adult Aubrac cow (Bos taurus) of indeterminate sex with a thick red coat, standing at one and a half (1.5) meters tall and weighing approximately two thousand (2,000) kg. Patterns on SCP-XXXX’s fur will grow to resemble human faces, often resembling individuals specific to those working within close proximity to SCP-XXXX as well as the faces of unknown individuals (see incident report XXXX-A). SCP-XXXX is carnivorous, and is only capable of ingesting salt water.

SCP-XXXX displays mild regenerative capabilities. Wounds inflicted upon SCP-XXXX heal at a rapid rate, however, more serious injuries such as broken bones or severed extremities will heal at the rate typical of Bos taurus.

SCP-XXXX is fully capable of human speech in a variety of languages, and has been recorded speaking Hebrew, Arabic, French and Italian when alone. SCP-XXXX’s speech patterns consist primarily of prayers, all based in various religious practices. SCP-XXXX is unresponsive to all forms of communication.

If SCP-XXXX is brought within twelve (12) meters of an individual, (henceforth referred to as subject) SCP-XXXX will emit vocalizations in a language specific to the subject at hand. SCP-XXXX will reprimand the subject for misdeeds committed by the subject, as well as offer promises of redemption. Subjects exposed to these vocalizations will gradually develop feelings of obsession for SCP-XXXX, and will eventually attempt to consume SCP-XXXX’s flesh (henceforth SCP-XXXX-1). Individuals who successfully ingest SCP-XXXX-1 report immense feelings of vindication for past actions, as well as developing a desire to worship SCP-XXXX and to consume SCP-XXXX-1. These desires will increase exponentially as time progresses, affected subjects often resorting to violence, especially if unable to consume SCP-XXXX-1. If Procedure 047-Abrelemin is not conducted at least once per month, SCP-XXXX will begin to display signs of extreme malnourishment, its body deteriorating at an accelerated rate until Procedure 047-Abrelemin is carried out.

If SCP-XXXX is brought within twelve (12) meters of an individual who has at one point expressed religious beliefs, but has openly denounced said beliefs, SCP-XXXX will emit a high pitched scream that will increase in magnitude until subject is no longer within SCP-XXXX’s twelve foot radius.

Procedure 047-Abrelemin

On 07/15/2008, researcher Benjamin Cranor in conjunction with fellow researchers assigned to SCP-XXXX developed Procedure 047-Abrelemin when SCP-XXXX began to display signs of extreme malnutrition, and when the link between individuals exposed to SCP-XXXX and the health of SCP-XXXX was understood.

Procedure Information:

- Once per month, a single D-Class personnel is to be administered a small dosage of Class-H cognitive inhibitors and equipped with a bladed tool.
-Subject is to be introduced into SCP-XXXX’s chamber for a period of twenty-four (24) hours, within which SCP-XXXX-1 will be ingested by the subject.
-In the unlikely event that the subject does not attempt to ingest SCP-XXXX, termination should follow, alongside an immediate re-attempt of Procedure 047-Abralemin.
-At the end of the twenty four hour period, subject is to be removed from SCP-XXXX’s containment chamber, and subsequently terminated via lethal injection.

The following is an interview conducted by researcher Benjamin Cranor of a D-Class personnel (henceforth D-4537) immediately following Procedure 047-Abralemin. Interview was conducted thirty minutes before the scheduled termination of D-4537.

Incident Report XXXX-A

On 08/23/2009, patterns resembling the face of an infant appeared on the neck of SCP-XXXX. Upon seeing these patterns, researcher Benjamin Cranor displayed extreme distress, and requested immediate reassignment. Request for reassignment was denied by director [REDACTED] on 08/27/2009.

On 08/28/2009, researcher Benjamin Cranor was apprehended and placed in foundation custody while attempting to gain unauthorized access to SCP-XXXX-2. Cranor had already ingested 0.2 kilograms of SCP-XXXX-2 at the time of apprehension.

On 08/29/2009, researcher Benjamin Cranor filed for resignation from Foundation duties while in foundation custody, confessing to his participation in the infanticide of his two month old son a year prior within his letter of resignation. Cranor was subsequently discharged from Foundation employment, revoked of his educational, medical, retirement, and mortality benefits, delivered the standard Class-C amnestics required of all retired Foundation employees, and turned over to the proper authorities for trial.
