Item #: SCP-XXXX

Object Class: Keter

Special Containment Procedures:
SCP-XXXX was found in [Redacted] Greece, at the bottom of [Redacted] lake in 1973. SCP-XXXX shall be housed in a Foundation Shatterdome 76, in a cooling room 80 meters in radius. Failure to contain this anomaly below 60 Degrees Celsius will result SCP-XXXX discharging a 13-MT "waking up" shock wave that will result in mass casualties and breach of Foundation Secrecy. This anomaly is to be approached with protective suits. If failed to meet these requirements, the personnel affected by the radiation will be shot to death. MK II Scorpion Tactical Tanks loaded with 300 mm sleeping agent munition are to be used when traditional ways to inject sleeping agents are ineffective. MTF PSI-26 "Royal Gypsy" is to be on standby on-site for any emergencies. If MTF PSI-26 fails to effectively contain SCP-XXXX, deployment of MTF PSI-27 "Crimson Fury" should be put into effect immediately per Procedure [Redacted] and capture SCP-XXXX. All and any civilians exposed to SCP-XXXX should be executed to conserve normalcy within society. Upon capture, the anomaly is to be dosed with a sleeping agent, agent and transported back to a Shatterdome capable of housing this SCP. There are no known methods of termination of this subject.

Description
SCP-XXXX: SCP-XXXX is a humanoid creature approximately 60 meters in height. Its resembles a tall human. SCP-XXXX is devoid of all light, absorbing 99.73% of all light. The eyes of this anomaly glows a red hue. Heat sensors detect the subjects body is 50 degrees Celsius, about 2 times more than the temperature of an average human. Upon reaching 66.432 degrees Celsius, subject will glow red. Subject will then proceed to glow brighter and climb in temperature until it reaches the total of 1,600 degrees Celsius. After reaching the "high point" it will discharge a 13 MT shock wave. These wake-ups seem random, for it will reach above containment temperature every decade, with all and any cooling methods ineffective on subject. After the anomaly wakes up, it will then continue to find the nearest human. Upon exposing itself to a human, it will transfer an unknown substance through the radiation. The substence from the radiation will transmit automatically if a human is in close proximity to the anomaly. (See SCP-XXXX-1 below). SCP-XXXX has shown signs of average human intelligence. It often times have shown verbal communications when this anomaly is in an active state. This SCP has been referred to as the "Void Creature" by Greek Philosophers. A scroll of an unknown origin states the origin of this SCP. (See SCP-XXXX-2 below) It has been suggested by Senior Researcher [Redacted] that this anomaly was a cause of dimensional travel, as stated in the scroll and ancient paintings.

SCP-XXXX-1: SCP-XXXX-1 is the subject affected by SCP-XXXX. The subject will enter a stage of emotional and mental distress which typically lasts 15 minutes to one hour. During this time of distress, the subject will inflict self harm until it is in a near death situation. SCP-XXXX-1 will then scavenge for another human and explode. The radiation emitted from the explosion of a contaminated human will then be passed on to the subject that was exposed to the explosion. 100% of cases have left no recognizable body parts. The most effective way of terminating SCP-XXXX-1 is to shoot the infected in the head with a medium-caliber rifle.

SCP-XXXX-2: SCP-XXXX-2 is a scroll approximating one meter written in Greek. It is composed mostly of paper that strongly resembles the molecular structure similar to the one of a palm tree, suggesting the fact that this was made in an tropical or Mediterranean region. it has a hand written paragraph written from ink. "The black god of death is upon us know, and wakes up more frequently. We have no way of destroying this. All we can do is praise to the lords to cast us in their eternal love and protect us. The black god fell from a crack in the sky, for we thought it was a present from the heavens. But upon further instances, we realized this was no present from the heavens, much of a curse, it was. It would cause seasonal droughts, kill many of our people. we realized that we must stray far away from it. For every time it wakes up, it brings mass death and fatalities to our land. The best we can do is mind our own business and go about our days as if it was never here."

Sample Retrieval A-1-A Log
D-4253 enters the cooling chamber with D-3625. With in coming close range of SCP-XXXX, they note that they are nauseous. They are instructed to continue extract samples from SCP-XXXX. D-4253 and D-3625 enter a stage of distress. Senior Researcher in charge ask the D-Class if they can move on. There is no response from the D-Class. D-4253 and D-3625 insert their tools into themselves inflicting self harm. Foundation security is instructed to retrieve D-4253 and D-3625 from the cooling chamber. Two personnel arrive to retrieve the D-Class. The D-Class manically runs towards the two security personnel. The D-Class explode into black substance. The security personnel enter a stage of distress and shoot themselves in the head. They run towards the control room. They are shot down by on-site response personnel. They halt sample retrievals until further knowledge of SCP-XXXX and SCP-XXXX-1's nature.
