Special Containment Procedures: Water filtration devices are to be utilized around the vicinity of SCP-XXXX to prevent waste from polluting its containment chamber.

Description: SCP-XXXX is an organism closely resembling an Asteroidea¹. SCP-XXXX is capable of communicating via direct telepathy. It can be located at the ocean floor of the North Pacific Ocean, specifically nearby Vancouver Island, British Columbia. Each of SCP-XXXX's tendrils terminates in a series of "cones" that excretes SCP-XXXXX-1, a waste product that has continually polluted a 3-meter diameter area around SCP-XXXX. SCP-XXXX-1 cannot be removed once it interacts with water.

Tests of the organism's composition have revealed that SCP-XXXX is largely made of recycled human flesh.

Discovery: SCP-XXXX was discovered after multiple fishermen along the southwest coast of Vancouver Island reported that "an unknown substance was killing local marine life." Further investigation revealed the presence of SCP-XXXX alongside several ordinary organisms affected by SCP-XXXX-1, which include the following:

History: According to SCP-XXXX, It originated from a Neo-Sarkicism cult, GoI-504D (The Darkwater Lodge). SCP-XXXX was originally created as a way to gain private fishing waters, by scaring off the other fishermen. These fish were to be sold, as a way of making a profit to fund themselves. Once they discovered they could not bypass SCP-XXXX-1, they eventually disposed of SCP-XXXX and abandoned the project.
