Special Containment Procedures: SCP-XXXX is restricted to Level 4 researchers or above. All infected victims (SCP-XXXX-1) are to be transported to a private medical bay so that any attempt to surgically remove SCP-XXXX may take place. All instances of SCP-XXXX are to be separately kept in heated tumblers to keep SCP-XXXX perspiring and diminishing. These tumblers are to be wall-mounted and secured inside an anaerobic chamber which limits oxygen exposure to which it needs to thrive and reproduce. To work on this project, Researchers must wear full-body hazmat suits and oxygen tanks to limit the chance of infection.

Description: SCP-XXXX is a minuscule ball of fat. The texture of SCP-XXXX is described as gelatinous. All instances of SCP-XXXX come in pairs. SCP-XXXX is recorded to completely infect an individual in a span of a week. The full infection process is listed below.
- A pair of SCP-XXXX enters through SCP-XXXX-1's mouth and makes its way towards the vocal cords. They each move to a side of the vocal cords, then fuse themselves with the flesh around. They then grow tendrils and attach them to the vocal fold to stretch them to their will.
- During this phase of infection, instances of SCP-XXXX-1 have been observed emitting sounds that closely resemble human laughter.

- Over the span of a week, SCP-XXXX has grown 1.5% in size. It expands over the windpipe, asphyxiating SCP-XXXX-1 and ending its life. SCP-XXXX-1's oxygen intake during life helps to aid the asexual reproduction of SCP-XXXX. Over the span of a week, each side of SCP-XXXX asexually reproduces one new instance of SCP-XXXX. The new instances move up under the tongue, waiting for a new victim to be in close proximity. They then jump from the previous victim, to the new SCP-XXXX-1, therefore repeating the process.

SCP-XXXX was found in Germany, ████ at a biological weapons engineering laboratory. The German scientists were attempting to develop a micro- organism biological agent. Many casualties were reported around the location and the laboratory was pin pointed by MTF Omega-1, the "Blackguards". All instances of SCP-XXXX were contained and one artifact; a test log, was discovered. (see addendum XXXX-02 for test logs)

Addendum XXXX-01:

In the event that SCP-XXXX can be removed, these procedures should be followed. The supplies for the surgery are listed below;

- A heat lamp
- Artery Forceps
- Scalpel

The heat lamp is to be set up and angled to SCP-XXXX-1's throat. SCP-XXXX will begin to diminish and loosen its grip, making leeway for the scalpel to run through SCP-XXXX.
pressure is to be made to SCP-XXXX with the artery forceps to stop excessive bleeding while cutting away SCP-XXXX with the scalpel.

If the surgery is performed later on in the infection process, a large, crater-like hole can be seen by the latter end of the mouth in the aftermath.

As we were just getting ready for the day, a strange noise came from our subject's holding cell.
It almost sounds like laughter. We took the same camera from the previous test and carefully moved if through the throat. To our surprise, the fat has expanded and grown small tendrils.
We discovered that it was manipulating the vocal cords of the test subjects and appears to
be somewhat sentient
