Incident 096-1-B

"User's" picture of SCP Site-██ after removal of hazardous imagery.
On 2/15/2019 a massive containment breach occurred in which SCP-096 killed a total of [REDACTED] users of the popular website [EXPUNGED] after an image was posted to the 'SCP' subsite of [expunged] (part of R5-cover-fds). The image has been timed as having been taken soon after a small breach occurring on [REDACTED] by SCP-096 that resulted in the death of one Dr. [REDACTED].
The SCP forum is related to a cover story established by the foundation after various SCP files were leaked by GoIs, as part of the cover a fake website, game, threads, and other media were established to be a 'creative community writing project' in which a 'fictional foundation' secures anomalies.
"It's genius, we don't even have to use amnestics or memetics, as long as we provide a structure for them to write fiction about us, all breaches of security will be seen as fictional by the public." - Dr. [EXPUNGED]

██:██) User [REDACTED] familiar with cover-fds, posts an image stating that it looks like a foundation site. Unknown to [REDACTED] he had actually discovered Site-██ and had taken this picture shortly after SCP-096 broke containment.
██:██) After SCP-096 finished [redacted] Dr. [redacted] it is seen breaking north rather than following its usual pattern of behavior.
██:██) Upon the realization of a larger breach foundation personal immediately began working to clear SCP-096's path and identify its SCP-096-1.
██:██) SCP-096 is seen changing direction, meaning a closer SCP-096-1 has manifested.
██:██) Due to the nature of this change in behavior and large anger change between the first SCP-096-1 and the second, personnel determined that a cognitohazardus image was shared online.
██:██) Personel discover image with SCP-096 showing in a similar way to incident 096-1-A, due to it being part of the cover-fds program, the image is replaced after being cleaned of hazardous imagery.
██:██) With no way of stopping SCP-096 it was determined that the best course of action was to use a single subject of SCP-096-1 to lure and distract SCP-096 whilst the agent collected all individuals affected by SCP-096.
██:██) A short interview was conducted with User [REDACTED] as too the nature of the photograph.
██:██) all instances of SCP-096-1 except one were gathered and subsequently executed by Foundation personnel using lethal gas.

Interviewer: "Unfortunately we have yet to learn how to counter the effects of SCP-096, we simply need to confer with you about the nature of the breach before you are to be painlessly executed. I'm sorry."

Interviewer: "Do you belong to any GoI, I trust you know what they are, or otherwise conspire against humanity or the Foundation?"

Seven [7] days after this interview "User" [redacted] was lead into a chamber where other users were told they would be dosed with amnestic gas to prevent the effects of a memetics hazard. The room is substantially filled with poisonous gas, and all instances of SCP-096-1 were terminated.
