• Has 'narrative divergence' with baseline rather than just an alternate history.

• Mountains. Mountains everywhere.
• The 'humans' there can't forget anything ever.
• The black bloby things might be immoral information ghosts.

If intelligence suggests SCP-001 will not reach completion in time, Foundation personnel are required to convert to a religion whose theology:

• does not involve an entity currently in containment
• allows for universal redemption
• preserves the consciousnesses of its followers after death

in order to minimise the damnations caused by the leaders of the Foundation and increase the probability of their successful redemption.

Description: SCP-001 is the provisional designation for the afterlife currently under construction by the Foundation in preparation for the imminent judgement of humanity.

Description: SCP-XXXX takes the form of an incorporeal terrestrial planet in geosynchronous orbit around Earth, located approximately one meter above Mt. Everest. SCP-XXXX is heavily antimemetically cloaked, and observation and recollection of SCP-XXXX is impossible without at least Class W mnestics. The positioning of SCP-XXXX remains fixed relative to the earth, but presents cycles in illumination that would indicate that it has a rotational period of ~25 hours. SCP-XXXX is geographically distinct from Earth, with landmasses being nearly entirely mountainous, and oceans covering ~82% of the planet's surface.

Following the discovery of SCP-XXXX's physical coordinates via a Multi-Universal Transport Array (MUTA), Antimemetics division scientists have managed to collect data on the surface of SCP-XXXX itself.

In addition to a variety of flora and fauna, SCP-XXXX is is inhabited by two sapient species, labelled SCP-XXXX-A and SCP-XXXX-B respectively.

SCP-XXXX-A is a species similar to baseline humanity, with marked differences. SCP-XXXX-A possesses a hormonal gland located adjacent to the pineal gland which produces a natural equivalent of Class Z mnestics. Instances also possess a complex series of secondary mutation to the nervous system and kidneys to deal with the increased toxins in the body and the physical inability to forget information. It is believed that this has also lead to the development of a different psychological framework in SCP-XXXX-A than in humans, granting a resistance to hostile memetic infection.

UIU File 2018-015: Codename: "Galapagos"

Summary: The sudden appearance of an Earth-like planets in close conjunction with Earth, along with the reconfiguration of star maps as they are visible from Earth.

The Unusual Incidents Unit became aware of the event at the same time as the rest of the global populace. Due to the scale of the event, a coverup was deemed non-viable and resources were instead directed towards crowd control and easing tensions caused by the event.

Event Description

At 0427 hours EST on 4/22/2018, a large unidentified object appeared in the northwestern sky, visible across the US. Further examination quickly determined that the object was a replica of Earth, located approximately 875,976.3 miles away. Thankfully, the appearance of the object had a negligible gravitational effect on Earth. However, radio waves were transferable to and from the object. At approximately 0458, radio contact was established with the US Government analogue of the object (tentatively designated 'Terra Duo').

Locale Descriptions

Terra Duo appears superficially similar to Earth, with near-identical landmasses and series of historical events. As far as the general public is concerned, Terra Duo is identical to earth with the exception of minor historical aberrations.

Upon closer inspection and cross-referencing with classified data, it becomes apparent that Terra Duo is significantly different from Earth in regards to anomalous and esoteric phenomena, and the organizations surrounding them. For example, the UIU still nominally exists on Terra Duo, but the name instead refers to US Marines special task force created in 1957 in response to anomalous activity uncovered by the US government during World War II and the Korean War. As another example, 'The Chicago Spirit' appears to be a singular entity on Terra Duo that is still marginally active today, rather than an anomalous crime syndicate.

Eyewitness Reports: Directly following the appearance of Terra Duo, various forms of media were immediately overrun with billions of eyewitness reports (millions of which originated in the US) regarding its sudden appearance.

Ongoing Political Contact: As the exchange of electromagnetic waves with Terra Duo is possible, the US government has made and maintained diplomatic contact with its counterpart on Terra Duo, as well as the counterparts of other governments.
