LEVEL 3 NOTICE FOR SITE-92 PERSONNEL

This file has been revised significantly, and the Object Class has been reclassified. Level 3 and higher-ranking Site-92 personnel must review the modified procedures (2017-05-14).

Item #: SCP-XXXX l3.png Object Class: Euclid
Level 3 Clearance Threat Level: Yellow

Special Containment Procedures: SCP-XXXX is kept in a vacuum-sealed, reinforced chamber with no direct entrances or exits. The interior is to be fitted with wireless video surveillance systems, in order to inspect chamber integrity and monitor emergence events. These video surveillance systems must not be equipped with a variable aperture, shutter, or other mechanical components. Emergence events should be logged in Document XXXX-3LE.

Personnel entering the containment area for inspections or maintenance are allowed and encouraged to carry a personal firearm or other approved weapon for defense and/or self-termination. No personnel are to enter the containment area without explicit Level 4 approval.

To prevent expansion of SCP-XXXX-2-related damage to Site-92, the containment area is to be surrounded by at least seven free-standing doors. The actual entrance has been retrofitted with an experimental Spatial Awareness Monitor designed to automatically lock down the chamber if an SCP-XXXX-2 affects any of the doors.

Should SCP-XXXX-1-B attempt to damage the containment chamber, the Eris Protocol is to be executed immediately. This procedure consists of:

  1. Engaging speakers playing sounds in the 65-80 kHz range
  2. Bombardment with microwave radiation

Should SCP-XXXX-1-B escape from the containment chamber, Protocol Ymir is to be executed if the Eris Protocol fails. This procedure consists of:

  1. All actions within the Eris Protocol
  2. High-pressure valves releasing targeted sprays of liquid neon (three 17 L canisters maintaining −245.95 °C at 685 kPa) at SCP-XXXX-1-B. Care should be taken to avoid damaging SCP-XXXX.

Description: This file describes several interrelated anomalous phenomena. The individual components have been given appropriate sub-designations as follows:

  • SCP-XXXX is a metallic object that connects local reality to SCP-XXXX-1.
  • SCP-XXXX-1 is a pocket dimension that can be entered through SCP-XXXX that contains a ceiling composed of scrap metal referred to as SCP-XXXX-1-A.
  • SCP-XXXX-1-B is an extension of biometallic material comprising SCP-XXXX-1 which emerges from the ventral opening of SCP-XXXX, transforming the object into a mobile entity by functioning as a body. This is believed to be used for defensive purposes.
  • SCP-XXXX-2 is an effect that manipulates doors, gates, and similar openings and transforms them into temporary SCP-XXXX-1 entry points.

These are described in further detail below.
