Special Containment Procedures: Based on research conducted on the generation and propagation of SCP-XXXX, it is currently practically impossible to prevent the spread of the anomaly given technological limitations in the field of climate manipulation.
The current Foundation inoculation procedure renders any anomalous effects of SCP-XXXX inert. This procedure involves viewing any one video file from the SCP-XXXX Instance Catalog in its entirety. One of these videos is provided prior to any viewing of this file in order to prevent unnecessary exposure to anomalous effects.
Description: SCP-XXXX is an anomalous weather process that creates clouds which upon viewing conjures feelings of extreme nostalgia. When seen by a human being, cognitohazardous elements of the clouds compel viewers to continue viewing them until they naturally pass through the sky out of sight from the observer. In some instances, affected persons will attempt to follow the clouds without regard for the well-being of themselves or others including taking actions that violate local laws and [REDACTED]. However, implementation of the OUR-SKY Proposal1 would reduce reactions to SCP-XXXX by allowing for extensive public inoculation to its effects. This proposal is given in further detail below.
By viewing a recording taken of SCP-XXXX, the viewer becomes immune against any future exposure to the anomaly. The process by which this occurs is currently unknown. We have demonstrated that this immunity persists for at least two (2) years following inoculation.
Various recorded instances of the anomaly carry with them different required view times to provide immunization. Current minimal exposure time is 3.8 seconds. MTF Rho-2 ("Cloud Hunters") is currently tasked with identifying and filming instances of SCP-XXXX with the goal of generating an instance with <1 second minimal exposure time in order to enhance implementation of the OUR-SKY Proposal.
To date, no reliable methods of predicting occurrences of this anomaly have been found. Based on data gathered from the Foundation Climatology Service and various meteorological institutes, the frequency of SCP-XXXX formations is currently increasing at a rate of █% annually.
OUR-SKY Proposal Summary: The goal of this proposal is to proceed with a cost-effective and minimally invasive program which would reduce future public harm due to SCP-XXXX exposure. Our team has developed a method by which large portions of the public can be made immune to the effects of this anomaly. By disseminating our internal inoculation protocol via ongoing insertion of video files from the SCP-XXXX Instance Catalog into adverts, films, TV programs, online video sharing sites, and other video based media we would achieve large-scale protection against harmful cognitohazardous phenomena. Based on the findings that this anomaly is projected to cover 100% of Earth's landmass by the year 20██, we feel that it is of the utmost importance to to utilize this procedure in order to prevent a potential XK-Class End-of-the-World Scenario.
