Special Containment Procedures: SCP-XXXX is to be stored in a standard medium-security anomaly locker in Site-29.
Description: SCP-XXXX is a Ka-Bar brand combat knife. Individuals injured by SCP-XXXX will lose the social inhibitions preventing them from acting on racist beliefs they possess. SCP-XXXX is not known to cause individuals to experience any prejudiced viewpoint that they do not already have or to commit actions they would not be willing to commit barring social factors. The effects of SCP-XXXX are not permanent and will lessen as the injuries sustained from SCP-XXXX heal before disappearing entirely when the injuries close.
Discovery: SCP-XXXX was discovered in the home of Samuel ██████, a member of the Ku Klux Klan with ties to the anomalous community. Following his arrest in August 2013, his home was investigated and SCP-XXXX was taken by the Foundation. SCP-XXXX was tested several times under the mistaken belief that it possessed the anomalous property of causing individuals to experience bigoted and prejudices beliefs. After Researcher Michael Grooms was accidentally injured by SCP-XXXX, the anomaly's actual effect was determined via further testing.
Addendum XXXX-1: Note:
While SCP-XXXX is itself merely one of the many minor anomalies we have researched and contained, the investigation into it has revealed a hidden flaw in our testing structure. When your sample population consists entirely of maximum security prison inmates, you're bound to get some skewed results. After the conclusion of this investigation I am left wondering what other anomalies have been misidentified. Further research will be ongoing.
