SCP-4176 in containment at Site-██.

Special Containment Procedures:
Due to the low risk SCP-4176 poses, SCP-4176 is to be kept in a locked safe in Dr. ██████'s office at all times. SCP-4176 is to be kept in a secured locker in Site-██ Storage Area B and is to be guarded by at least two armed security personnel at all times. Access for research purposes requires written authorization from Dr. ██████', and tests must be accompanied by him. Testing may only be performed by Level 3 Personnel. Following Incident-4176-A, no one D-Class Personnel can be used to test SCP-4176 multiple times."

Description:
SCP-4176 is a pair of eyeglasses visually identical to those manufactured and sold by [REDACTED], with one difference. On the temples of the glasses is a small blue pin consisting of plastic and [REDACTED] that, when the glasses are worn, sticks itself into the user. The user reports only a mild prick, and no visible wounds are left. It is believed this is how SCP-4176 gets its anomalous properties.

When worn by a person, SCP-4176 gives the user the ability to alter the area around them. When the user thinks of a solid color any object they have seen before, they surfaces they look at will begin to transform. Any surface or object the viewer is looking at changes on the molecular level, in the event of a color into something matching that color, and with an object or surface into a material matching the object thought about. SCP-4176 seems to change material based on what the wearer knows about the material thought about, with unexpected outcomes occurring when the wearer knows little. As of now, there is no known way to reverse the effects of SCP-4176.

12:30: D-1240 is the test subject. They enter the chamber and pick up SCP-4176.

12:30: D-1240 puts on the glasses as instructed.

12:30: D-1240 is instructed to think of the color brown.

12:35: D-1240 reports that the walls of the test chamber have turned brown, observers report no change.

12:40: Observers begin to notice the walls of the chamber turning into a brown substance, except for the walls behind the subject.

12:43: D-1240 is instructed to take the glasses off and is removed from the chamber.

12:45: Samples are taken of the chamber walls, and a study concludes them to have turned into mahogany wood. The test is concluded.

09:00: Test initiated. Subject is D-1240. They enter the chamber from the previous test, which is still partially covered in mahogany wood.

09:00: D-12406 picks up SCP-4176 from the now mahogany table and puts it on.

09:00: D-12406 is instructed to think of the color of the wall tiles and to view the mahogany walls.

09:05: D-12406 reports once more that the walls are changing grey, observers report nothing out of the ordinary.

09:10: The mahogany walls are seen by observers to change back into what seems to be ordinary wall tiles.

09:12: D-12406 removes the glasses and leaves the test chamber as instructed.

09:15: Testing of the converted walls show that they have indeed turned back into normal wall tiles. The test is concluded.

This experiment reveals that SCP-4176 can ”target” entire objects the subject thinks about. Further tests will be conducted on how SCP-4176 selects a material to use. - Dr. ██████

10:00: D-20651 is instructed to think of an apple and view the walls.

10:05: D-20651 reports that the walls are changing to the look of an apple.

10:08: D-20651 removes the glasses and leaves the test chamber as instructed.

10:10: Testing of the converted walls show that they have indeed turned into the skin of an apple. The test is concluded.

This confirms that SCP-4176 can use an object as an "input", Further Testing is required into the full extent of SCP-4176's effects. -Dr. ██████

+ Incident-4176-A - Level 3 Access Required

INCIDENT DATE: January 18th, 20██

13:35: D-12406 picks up and puts on SCP-4176 as per usual testing protocol.

13:35: D-12046 is instructed to think of the bed in his cell, and looks at the testing room wall.

13:38: D-12046 suddenly runs through the solid wall and escapes from the testing room.

13:43: Agents are dispatched to pursue D-12046, and observes the wall to have vanished completely.

13:50: Agent ██ corner D-12046, who then looks at the agent.

13:51: Agent ██ is seems distressed, and shortly after vanishes completely and its presumed lost.

13:53: D-12046 attempts to escape through a wall, but is met with agents on the other side who terminate the target, and recover SCP-4176.**

13:57: Tests of the walls affected by SCP-4176 and where Agent ██ dissipated detect increased amounts of Oxygen and Nitrogen.

D-12046 must have thought of the word ”air”, essentially deleted the walls and Agent ██. Further security surrounding SCP-4176 is needed, as is further scrutiny on who wears it.-Dr ██████
