Item #: SCP-XXXX l2.png Object Class: Safe
Level 2 Clearance Threat Level: Green

Special Containment Procedures: SCP-XXXX is to be monitored by agents at a minimum of 50 meters away from the island. Foundation issued radars are to be placed around the island on floating vessels and thus inspected for malfunctions or damage every twenty-four hours and replaced if needed. The Coast Guard of the area has been notified to direct any inbound ships away from SCP-XXXX. Any flight paths bound for around SCP-XXXX are to be scheduled layovers to prevent interaction with it. If any flight or ship is found wandering or intentionally traveling to SCP-XXXX, the ship will be redirected immediately and all crew members administered Class-A Amnestics.
Any instances of SCP-XXXX-1 that are detected are to be captured and contained for more isolated testing. Instances of SCP-XXXX-1 are to be contained in standard-sized rectangular bird cages comprised of galvanized steel-wire with two doors at parallel sides for access.

Description: SCP-XXXX is an island in the Pacific Ocean: coordinations are [REDACTED], [REDACTED]. Satellite imagery, as well as first-hand encounters, have revealed that SCP-XXXX appears to be a densely forested area (similar to that of a rainforest) with no visible wildlife. Due to its anomalous properties, SCP-XXXX’s specific typography and geography have been undocumented in detail thus far.
SCP-XXXX has shown displacement properties. Any inanimate object that travels closer than 10 meters appears to be teleported to the opposing side. However, SCP-XXXX selectively displaces living organisms inside of the island instead. SCP-XXXX has anti-memetic properties pertaining specifically to information regarding the island shared through electronic devices and items originating from outside the island. All communication is disrupted to and from the island
Birds of unknown species and origin have been seen flying from SCP-XXXX. These birds have been dubbed SCP-XXXX-1. All instances of SCP-XXXX-1 that have been seen have been captured and contained for testing. All instances of SCP-XXXX have shown to be at least three months or older with no visible damage telling of their predators. No other wildlife has been noted coming from SCP-XXXX.

Discovery: SCP-XXXX was discovered to be anomalous on 11/4/1990 after reports of missing low-flying planes (totaling 39), ships (totaling 103), and over 2,000 people. Due to the substantial number of missing objects and people, MTF Epsilon 8 (“Gate Watcher”) was dispatched to investigate and isolate the potential anomaly. MTF Epsilon 8 attempted to manage the island as a point for recovery of missing objects and immediately lost two members within SCP-XXXX. Agent Gray informed Operation Supervisor Ciciotti of the incident and was instructed to withdraw remaining agents. The two agents appeared on the other side without memory of the island or it. The missing reports were taken into Foundation custody and the family and acquaintances of the missing people were administered Class-C Amnestics.
