Big Brain Canon Ideas: The War
When the Foundation suffers a mass containment breach across multiple sites, its capabilities are called into question. With major SCP's on the loose, the SCP Foundation and the GOC compete to find these, and for the Foundation, to recontain, and for the GOC, to eliminate them. The Serpent's Hand also tries to capture several of their SCP's, and it's just a general clusterfuck. It's a new war, where the Foundation must be forced to confront that what they're doing may not always be for the greater good.
I feel like the canon should be taking the direction of the unethical conditions of the SCPs that they contain, which makes them break out. Also, GOC tales would be amazing to write in this canon, as it's them versus the Foundation.
World building: GOC tech should be expanded on, using Clef's and other authors interpretations in the GOC Hub.
Theme: Should get CSS guys to code us a hub and theme. I hope it can be military style, similar to Broken Masquerade. More of MTF's and stuff.
First tale should be something like the mass breach, and the other tales after that should be GOC and shit trying to capture em.
Main character/s would be amazing, kind of like a MTF leader, a researcher, agent, or whatever. O5's should be a good inclusion.
With the Foundation heavily weakened, six other GoIs spring to power:
1) Global Occult Coalition - now the leader in the anomalous world
2) Marshall Carter & Dark - rapidly accumulating power as it snatches up rare and valuable skips from ruined sites
3) Church of the Broken God - reclaiming their artifacts and doubling down on bringing about that big ol robot god
4) Dr. Wondertainment (?) - gaining power and competing with MC&D for the anomalous market
5) Serpent’s Hand - stepping up as a safe harbor for freed SCPs
6) Chaos Insurgency - taking as many anomalous weapons as they can and trying to wipe out the last of the Foundation
Maybe a project that was discontinued is bought back to counter the GOC? The Manhattan Project would be a kickass name
Containment Specialist Alexander Elkoan leaned on the railing and looked out over the sea. He was having a shitty day, with trying to contain SCP-2735 after it had breached containment and dove into
the ocean. The captain of the ship had no idea where it was either, so they were doing a wide sweep of the Indian Ocean.
He puffed on a cigar. This was one of the few breaks he'd get to have, ever since the GOC had raided the site he was stationed in and put a bullet in everyone's head. That was the cause of the Foundation kidnapping and executing on a live channel to the GOC the current Coda. It was war, they had said.
Luckily, Elkoan didn't have to deal with any of that. All he had to do is stun some eldritch monsters, put them in a water tank, and get the fuck out of the Indian Ocean. Easier said than done.
He tossed the cigar into the sea- something that gave him a lot of disapproving looks and he instantly regretted it -and went back to his cabin. The laptop was old and showed it's age, with several scars covering the Dell logo, and Elkoan wondered when he was allowed to get a new one. He booted it up.
