Special Containment Procedures: Foundation webcrawlers are to remove all mentions of possible SCP-XXXX phenomenon from social media sites. Foundation researchers are required to be made aware of SCP-XXXX and instructed to use Class B amnestics should they be affected by SCP-XXXX. Any individuals working in the Foundation are prohibited from admitting or acknowledging the existence of SCP-XXXX outside of this document.
Description: SCP-XXXX is an anomalous mental phenomenon affecting a small portion of Earth's population. Individuals affected by SCP-XXXX obtain the belief that there are two entities located at the North and South Poles.1 These entities are universally described as a massive six-fingered hand of a dark skinned human male.
SCP-XXXX-1 are described to be using their fingers to push Earth, spinning it in a way consistent to its current rotation. Individuals affected by SCP-XXXX are subject to perceiving SCP-XXXX-1 in photographs taken of the North and South pole or Earth from space. Similarly, individuals affected by SCP-XXXX are able to perceive SCP-XXXX-1 if within close enough distance to either pole. No known individual affected by SCP-XXXX have attempted to reach SCP-XXXX-1.
If an individual acknowledges SCP-XXXX-1, such as by mentioning them or by attempting to point them out to other individuals, they will gradually begin to experience several effects in stages:
Stage 1: The SCP-XXXX effected individual will start to experience anxiety and paranoia.
Stage 2: Other individuals will start to have trouble acknowledging or recognizing the SCP-XXXX effected individual.
Stage 3: Partial memory loss (specifically new memories) of recollection pertaining to infected individual. Similarly, the SCP-XXXX effected individual is unable to be acknowledged or recognized by others.
Stage 4: The SCP-XXXX effected individual will disappear entirely. Following this, the individuals will become strenuously difficult to remember.
The usage of amnestics has been shown to halt these effects in most cases, with Class B amnestics being shown to be capable of removing SCP-XXXX's effect. However, individuals who have previously become aware of SCP-XXXX have a high rate of eventual re-occurrence.
